Christmas House By Barbara Parker 18 MATERIALS REQUIRED: Thin Card: Red, Dark Green, Green, Mirri Gold and White. Red Vivelle: VIV20A4. 3D Découpage Paper: DC003 and DC005. Background Paper: BP029 Christmas Trees. Gold Label Stickers: Plain; XL283U-01 Wording, XL562U-01 Numbers, XL563U-01 Letters and XL295U-01 Diamond Border. Glitter; ZL608U-55 Holly Borders, ZL184U-55 Christmas Trees. 1cm Square Paper Punch (Optional). Tracing Paper. Craft Knife, Ruler and Cutting Mat. Glitter Glue in Various Colours. Mini Fixers and P.V.A. Craft Adhesive. Card Mount: SF01U-46 Hammer Cream. TO MAKE THE CARD: Begin by cutting an aperture into the card for the window, mark out an 84 x 70mm oblong in the posi- tion shown on the diagram. Unfold the card, place on a cutting mat and then carefully cut out the oblong. Cut the window frame beginning with a piece of red card cut to 76mm x 90mm. Cut four panes into this at 37mm x 30mm leaving a 4mm bar between each pane and 6mm all around the edge as shown in the diagram below. Run a very narrow line of glue around the aperture and stick the frame in place. Trace all the lines from the door diagram. Transfer just the complete outermost line to a piece of red card to make a solid red shape. Move the tracing to a new area of red card and transfer both the outer line and inside frame lines. On green card, transfer the outer door line and panel lines and on gold card the letterbox lines. Cut out all the shapes then cut around and remove the door panels. Glue the red solid shape to the card front placing it about 1cm from the window frame and with the bottom edge against the card edge. Add mini fixers to the back of the red frame and stick it in place directly over the solid red shape. Add mini fixers to the back of the door and place it inside the red frame to complete the door assembly. Cut 6 little triangle shapes from white card as shown in the diagram below and stick a Christmas tree to each one, making sure to place the tree so the white shows through all the holes but not around the edges. Colour each bauble hole with gel pens or anything else suitable. Use sticky fixers to mount them in a nice straight row about 4mm up from the bottom of the card. Cut 6 little red tubs and sticky fix these along the bottom of the card with the tops just covering the bottom of each tree trunk. I used a large, gold peel off dot for the doorknob, you can use a hole punch on gold card if you prefer. Sticky fix this into place on the door. around the door frame and the numbers in the archabove the door.

Make a wreath as follows using the border stripshown below. Cut one pair of leaves and berry fromthe strip and place it sticky side up on the cuttingmat. Cut another pair and place it next to the first, slightly overlapping the leaf tips and at an angle to form a half square. Add two more pairs to these toform the whole square held together by the leaf tips.

Cut another pair of leaves from the strip and stickover the first ones so they are sticky sides together, keep the left hand tip of the this pair lifted slightly.Add 3 more pairs and tuck the tip of the last pairunder the first as shown to make a neat finish. Add alittle red glitter glue to each berry and set aside to dry before placing on the door with sticky fixers.

Open the card and work on the inside back panel.Cut a piece of Christmas tree background paper to11cm x 21cm and glue this to the panel with the topedge along the fold, the ends will overlap slightly butwill be trimmed in a moment. Cut a strip of red Vivelleto 3.5cm x 21cm, peel the backing and stick alongthe bottom edge of the panel.

Cut a strip of dark green card to 1cm x 21cm and gluealong the top edge of the Viv-elle to overlap the Christmastree paper and make a skirtingboard. Trim the sides of the papers to the card edges.

Next work the bear dé-coupages. For the first layer ofboth cut away the backgroundsand sticky fix to the card thenwork the rest as suits you. Usethe picture from DC003 to deco-rate the wall. Before sticking the stars, hearts and baubles on the final layer I colouredthem all with glitter glue.
