FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK: THANK YOU to our newly elected church officers. It is always refreshing to have people who are willing to give of their time and energy in using their gifts for the Lord and His church. This also applies to every person in the church family who helps in the various tasks and ministries on a regular basis. The church would not function without the many volunteers who share in the areas of service. We really do appreciate each of you. The Church Board (composed of the Elders & Deacons) meets on a monthly basis to conduct the business of the church, along with the recommendations that come from the working committees within the church. Keep all of these people in your prayers that we are doing the things that God wants us to do in our efforts to reach more people for Christ. The Board of Elders continues to meet regularly to consider the applicants for our Senior Minister position. This is a difficult task and they are spending a lot of time in prayer, seeking the right direction for their decision. They, too, need your prayers. The congregation voted to accept the New Building Plan for our proposed Family Life Center, as explained in our Sept. 2 informational meeting and with the handout in the Sunday bulletin and the weekly newsletter. This decision will let us start the process and move forward with the project. Now we will let our architect take the next steps in preparing complete plans which will allow contractors to bid on the project. We will keep you informed and up to date as we continue to make progress. But let’s not lose sight of using all we have for the glory of God and the extension of His church. It’s all for Him. Blessings to you all…Gary B

Be in Prayer for our Elders: Prayer is the most important part of our Pastor Search process. Every church member is encouraged to be in prayer. Let’s pray for our church; let’s pray for one another; let’s pray for our staff; let’s pray for our Elders and Deacons. Paul tells us in Col. 4:2, “Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.”
