CAROLINA NIGHTLIFE:

I started working for this nightlife media company during my senior year in high school as a freelance photographer.

I quickly rose through the ranks and became their event manager. At the same time I took on the position of photography manager

where I would hire and schedule photographers to cover our advertising clients.

I soon was promoted to be the area manager for the Columbia area. As the area manager I would oversee all aspects of the business for Columbia. This included events, hiring, scheduling, and advertising sales. I would meet with the clients face to face and make sure all of their needs were met.

Over my time at CNL I have generated over $6,000 dollars in advertising sales and managed the account of largest club in the capital city, Social Bar and Lounge.

PBR has been called either an old man’s beer or a hipster beer. A few thing are for sure, it’s the best tasting beer for under $3 in Colum-bia, SC and this guy with his 70’s Members Only jacket gets “turnt-up” with PBR. One day his kids will see this and party in his footsteps.

I have always liked to dress well and when putting together an outfit I am also thinking about what story the clothes will tell. When it comes to shooting fashion photography this thought process comes naturally.

I thoroughly enjoy the planning process and execution of producing a successful look-book or catalogue.

From brainstorming, to location scouting, to model selection, styling, and shooting, I love every moment.

Video production and motion graphic animation has been some of the most rewarding work for me because I have the best clients.

They are always challenging me to take my work to the next level but also allowing me to have creative freedom throughout the process.

One Columbia is a non-profit organization funded by the South Carolina Department of Tourism.

Their mission is to promote art and culture in the capital city through events and promotional videos that are made for and share with other music and art booking agencies, venues, and event promoters.

For more than 4 years I have been a part of a variety of radio programs.

All of my shows were broadcast live and weekly through the award winning WUSC FM radio station.

I also would promote the radio station by DJing their fundraising events.

The mission of WUSC is to promote and educate the listeners and DJ’s about new genres and upcoming artists that cannot be found through other radio stations. This challenges the DJ’s to research music and culture .

The Provocation PanelThis talk show focused on the paranormal and just plain weird scenarios that are unexplained or shrouded in controversy.

Suave Sounds My chillout-lounge specialty show aimed at keeping you classy. Every show I would give sartorial and social etiquette advice.

Rooftop Underground“RU” is one of the longest running shows on WUSC. I co-hosted this show with Alejandro Florez. The show would frequently feature us live mixing the exclusive electronic music from around the world. We occasionally brought on guest DJ’s and had them perform their own mixes.

I started DJing in 2011. Originally it was just for fun, but it has gradually progressed to be another service that I provide to my nightlife photography and advertising clients.

I also do sound production through Native Instruments and Audition.

My ability to create unique backing tracks for video production takes creativity to another level. I can provide an even more tailored service to my clients. This not only sets me apart from the rest, but it gives my clients a more competitive edge as well.

I am elated when I get the chance to work with my hands. Graphic design and photography involve some handy work but designing consumer products is something I find particularly satisfying.

When designing graphics I prefer to hand sketch ideas first then move to the computer for finishing projects. I also design and build my own camera rigs and light-modifiers.

I’ve always wanted to design furniture, clothing, and other luxury goods. I got my start while living in Puebla, Mexico.

I interned at a uniform factory called Confecciones Internacionales de Gali.

I began hand making bespoke neckties, pocket squares, and bow ties. I also make bespoke watch straps. One day I hope to have the capital to manufacture some of my more of my furniture, eye wear, and tech gadget designs.

I began working as a columnist for South Carolina’s largest free weekly publication in February of 2012. I interview people weekly at a nightlife venue or event for the Club Life column, which informs the public about what places they might find like-minded people. It also serves our readers with reviews of bars, clubs, bands, restaurants, and events.

I also worked as a freelance photographer for their own events like the Free-Times Music Crawl and the Free-Times Best Of Party

Logo design and branding is one of my favorite jobs to do. I am captivated by the idea of creating a visual icon that defines a brand’s identity.

SCV and Health QuestMy father is a breast cancer specialist and gen-eral surgeon. He recently opened his dream business, a 3D mammography and breast can-cer treatment center. He needed a logo that could grow with his company and his plans to open a non-profit organization called Health Quest.

Granger Owings and Circa 1332During my senior year I interned with a local custom menswear store Granger Owings. They had just opened their new casual clothing store, Circa 1332, and needed a total overhaul on design, social media, and general content production to create their brand identity. I produced several brand presentations they used to sell and market their brand in New York city, Las Vegas, and Charlotte, NC. I also de-signed their new web store and new logo.

I am an expert at designing websites that use Squarespace and Wordpress content management systems.

Efficiency and effectiveness are key in building websites. That is why I start designing a website with a theme. By using a combination of shortcodes and editing the themes’ code I am able to build a website that is unique and engaging.

The themes that I choose are responsive and work on mobile phones, tablets, laptops and desktops. I also research SEO words when writing content to insure that the website is found and used. I also have an understanding of HTML and CSS coding.

firedUP is Columbia’s business accerator formerly known as T Minus 6. In one week I was able to build a fully functional website using Wordpress CMS and the NEXT theme as a base.

This project was part of a total rebrand that involved renaming the accerator, developing a new logo and marketing materials,

writing copy, and producing media for the website.

The website is live and can be viewed at

Shuron Ltd. one of the olded eyewear manufacturing companies in the world. They have been making lenses and eyewear frames since 1865. They are headquartered in Greenville, SC.

This project was part of a branding update that involved developing a new logo and marketing strategy that would bring the brand into the 21st century.

This website is only a mock site at the moment however you can expect to see their new site live in January when Shuron celebrates their 150th anniversary.

The website is Squarespace based and includes a functional e-commerce store that makes it easier for customers to purchase their products.
