Daniel 7:9-10, 13-14

“As I looked,

thrones were set in place, and the Ancient of Days took His seat.

His clothing was as white as snow; the hair of his head was white like wool.

His throne was flaming with fire, and its wheels were all ablaze.

A river of fire was flowing, coming out from before him.

A thousand thousands attended him; ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him.

The court was seated, and the books were opened.”

*** In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into His presence. And to Him was given authority, glory and sovereign power, that all nations and peoples of every language should serve him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion which shall not pass away, and His kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.

MUSIC ASSOCIATE ALEXANDRA NICHOLS will perform her junior recital in our sanctuary TODAY at 2:00 p.m. She is double-majoring in piano and violin performance, and this program will encompass an hour of works for both instruments by Brahms, Chopin, Mozart, Mussorgsky, and others. You won’t want to miss this afternoon of beautiful music, nor the opportunity to extend our gratitude and support to Alexandra, with whom we have been so richly blessed for just over three years.

GREENWOOD COMMUNITY CHURCH, PRESBYTERIAN Warwick, Rhode Island

November 21, 2021

WE WELCOME all who are worshiping in our sanctuary today; welcome, too, to all worshiping online! A special word of welcome to any visiting

with us in person or online, whether you are visiting us for a day or looking for a new church home. Information packets are available in the narthex, or feel free to ask an usher or member if you have any questions. All are

cordially invited to Coffee Hour downstairs following the service.

Flowers Today are given to the glory of God by Kristine Swanson in loving memory of her father, Paul Swanson, on his November 25 birthday, and by Bob and Karen Hocking in thankful praise of our church family here at Greenwood Community Church.

HANGING OF THE GREENS NEXT SUNDAY! Also, a modified Advent Wreath Workshop will take place during the Sunday School hour. Supplies will be provided for you to create an Advent wreath for your home. Join us as we decorate the sanctuary, ring in the new liturgical year, and celebrate the first Sunday of Advent as a church family.

OUR CHRISTMAS CONCERT, "A FESTIVAL OF CAROLS!" will be presented Sunday, December 5, 5:00 p.m. The Greenwood Concert Choir will be joined by the Greenwich Bay Brass ensemble, organ, hand bells and timpani. Also, a brief pageant by our Sunday School will take place during the concert. Don’t miss this afternoon of Christmas cheer!

THE MISSION COMMITTEE is again partnering with Eleanor Slater Hospital to provide Christmas gifts to their long-term adult psychiatric patients. Each ornament will have their code and three wish items. You may provide one, two or all three of the wish items. You are invited to choose one, or more, of the coded ornaments from our tree in Fellowship Hall. Please record your name and phone number next to the corresponding tag number listed on the spreadsheet provided on our table. Please return gifts by Sunday, December 12 unwrapped in a bag with the coded ornament. Thank you for this act of kindness which will not only be giving someone a tangible gift, but the gift of being remembered and dignified as a person.

SUNDAY SCHOOL MITTEN TREE: It’s time to help decorate our annual Mitten Tree on the stage in Fellowship Hall! Donations of mittens, hats gloves and scarves for the needy are appreciated.
