Pastor’s Corner
Next week is the Mass for the Consecration of the Diocese to the Immaculate Heart of Mary at St. Mary’s Cathedral. (See the next page for details) To encourage as many of you to go as possible, I’ve asked the choir here at St. Mary’s to take the week off—so that they can attend. Please join them on this special day in Ogdensburg.
Also, you’ll see a little less of your priests for the next two weeks. Fr. Todd Thibault will be on his annual retreat this week (from Sunday to Friday). I will be doing the same from Oct 22nd to 27th. Please pray for us, as I assure you we will do for you.

Novena Prayer To be prayed daily from October 13-21, 2017 in preparation of the Consecration on October 22nd at St. Mary’s Cathedral
Loving Mother, 100 years ago you appeared to shepherd chil-dren in Fatima, Portugal with a message of penance, prayer, and peace. As we in the Diocese of Ogdensburg prepare to cele-brate the anniversary of our Cathedral dedicated to your As-sumption and consecrate the entire diocese to your Immaculate Heart, we desire to become like those young shepherds. May we have spirits courageous to face any opposition to the faith, minds made pure of the corruption of the world, and hearts open to your love—both to be received and to be shared.
In a special way during this novena, I ask your intercession on this intention____________.
Lord Jesus, we honor those who bravely built up the Church here in our diocese and around the world. We praise you—the one sure foundation of the Church and of our lives—this day and al-ways. Hear our prayers.
Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us. Our Lady of the Assumption, pray for us. Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us.
Notice: Please note the new traffic pattern at the Court Street entrance to the parking lot. In order to accommodate traffic flow and, more importantly, improve emergency access, the approach has been widened to allow two lanes of traffic. Please do not park in this lane.
