When, Why, How & Where
• When: My family immigrated to the US in the late 1800’s to the early 1900’s.
• Why: My family came to the US because there were better opportunities and a better life. It was hard for them to move to the US because it was very expensive to ride the boats.
• How: My family arrived in the US by boats which came through Ellis Island.
• Where: The families settled in the Eastern Upper Peninsula of Michigan and Virginia.
