O

ne of our topics is the Chinese Zodiac. The 12 zodiacs are The Rat, The Ox, The Tiger,

The Rabbit, The Dragon, The Snake, The Horse, The Goat, The Monkey, The Rooster, The

Dog and The Pig. The 1st zodiac made in China was the Rat. Some people believe that

Buddha picked the 12 zodiacs. But before that there was a Chinese princess who saw the

animals fighting so she told them they ’re going to have a race and whoever wins will be

a zodiac. The Rat won.

A

nother topic is Chinese writing. Chinese writing is the oldest writing in the world, which

is still used now. Chinese writing is from top to bottom. There is no grammar in Chinese

Chinese zodiacC

hinese zodiac was picked 5,000 years ago.

The Buddha was the ones who picked the

animals. The 12 animals were The Rat, The

Ox, The Tiger, The Rabbit ,The Dragon ,The

Snake ,The Horse, The Goat or the Sheep

or the Ram, The Monkey, The Rooster The

Dog and The Pig or Boar.

I

n China, individual birth dates are not as

important as the year in which a person is

born. And if you want to know a person's

age, you don't ask how old they are, you ask

for their Chinese Zodiac animal. To know

which one is yours, look up the year of your

birth below and look at the qualities of that

animal to see how much of it agrees with

you.

Chinese writing

C

hinese writing is from top to bottom and

right to left, but now changed to left to right

and top to bottom, same as English writing.

There is no certain grammar in Chinese

writing, such as Present Tense, Past Tense,

Future Tense, etc. Chinese writing is kind of

difficult to write. Chinese writing is not

based on the alphabet, it's based on Chinese

characters, and each Chinese character

indicates the meaning of the word. Chinese

writing is the oldest writing in the world,

which is still using now.
