During 2013-2016， China sesame imports had a rapid growth, hitting a new record high in 2016. At the same time, the

price went on a roller coaster ride after touching the ceiling of usd2018.00 in 2014.

Main Supply Change For China Sesame Imports

Sesame supply from African countries to China has greatly developed these years. Around 98 % of China sesame imports came from Africa. There was a strong upward trend in west African sesame supply

Introduction of CFNA

❖ China Chamber of Commerce of Import and Export of Foodstuffs, Native Produce and Animal By-Products (CFNA) was established in September 1988, taking Coordination, Guidance, Promotion, Consultation and Service as its obligations.

❖ The membership of CFNA has exceeded 7000 companies, covering all parts of China and representing agricultural, forestry, food and farm industry. The chamber of commerce has set up 47 chambers of commodities, all of which have a nation-wide membership.
