Aurora FeeBy Megan Barnes

About sixteen years of age, pale white skin, big eyes, and long, jet black hair. Key factors that de-scribe me just by looks alone. And if you looked closer you might notice I’m a student, I always keep my papers organized, I tie my shoes with hello kitty laces, and often have miss matched socks. I have a tendency to roll down big grassy hills, I am unfortunately agility-challenged, and am quick tosmile. I spend hours reading books about places far away with Prince Charmings that rescue you from formidable villains, and have an interest in antique items. And I seem like a normal girl.

But.

When you look real close, you see a pretty girl with odd eyes and something different, ominous about her. You may ignore that feeling, simply disregard it, so you glance away. It’s what we’re programmed to do. Ignore. But what you don’t know is that there is something different about me, much different. Because guess what—even if I may have been human once, I’m not anymore.

Catty Wompus

Julie lives on the Monterey Peninsula of Northern California with her husband and two large, cuddly dogs. Books have been a part of her life for as long as she can remember. She loves stories of all kinds but she especially love kid’s books. To be even more specific, she love kid’s books told in rhyming verse so it’s obvious why Shel Silverstein is her hero. Having always wanted to write one of her own, She decided to take the

plunge and write Catty Wompus: A Tale of Friendship.

Catty Wompus - A Tale of FrienshipBy Julie Howe

The story of Catty Wompus was inspired by a real life experience she had growing up in semi-rural Illinois that has always stuck with her. She had a blast writing the story and bringing it from brain to paper with the help of Chason Matthams and his funky, groovy illustrations.
