2018 Cherry Campaign in Korea

1. Photo-call Event

2018 February

Agency will conduct photo-call event with E Mart for Chile Week including cherry, blueberry, and table grapes in the middle of February rather than cherry photo-call itself.

At least 20 articles will be generated with USD$ 200,000 ad value.

������ �� Photo: To inform the launch of Chilean cherries this season, cherry photo-call event was conducted in Lotte Mart, Seoul Station branch on November 28, 2017. But agency did not charge the committee anything.

2. Sales bin production

January 10 – February 28, 2018

E Mart, Lotte Mart, and Homeplus produced bins and placed them in the stores.

A total of 410 sales bins are produced and placed in 410 stores nationwide. (E Mart 147, Home Plus 142, Lotte Mart 121)

A total of 415 days are scheduled until February 11 and 61% of promotion days has been conducted as of January 25.

Around 100 tons of Chilean cherries are expected to be sold during 415 days.

4. Restaurant promotion

January 12 – 25, 2018

A total of 20 restaurants including Italian restaurant, dessert café, bakery, and ice cream café sold more than 1 menu using Chilean cherries. 15 power-bloggers having more than respectively 10,000 daily visitors posted the contents regarding ‘Chile Cherry Festival’.

Chile Cherry Festival was promoted at 20 famous restaurants and it was exposed to at least 150,000 online users except offline customers.

5. Gym promotion

January 9 – 13, 2018

Gym promotion was conducted in 20 curves branches. Curves members tasted Chilean cherries and learned about the information including its seasonality and nutritional benefits. 10 power-bloggers having more than 10,000 daily visitors posted the contents regarding ‘Cherry Day’ in Curves.

Chile Cherry Day was promoted at 20 Curves branches and around 5,000 members tasted Chilean cherries. The promotion was also exposed to at least 100,000 online users.

5. Gym promotion

6. Hotel promotion

Jan 25 – Feb 7, 2018

Hotel promotion will be

conducted at Four Seasons Seoul

and they will develop 4 menus;

black forest cake, fresh Chilean

cherry & pistachio tart, Chilean

cherry chocolate choux, and

vanilla & Chilean cherry cupcakes.

About 2,000 customers will

experience the Chilean cherry menus and it will be exposed to at least 200,000 online users.

7. Online market promotion

Jan 29 – Feb 11, 2018

Event page regarding Chilean cherries will be exposed through banners for 2 weeks in WeMakePrice. During the promotion, Chilean cherry products will be sold in more affordable prices.

Chilean cherry event page is expected to be exposed to 5.6 million visitors and it will generate sales.

8. Online PR

January 9 – February 16, 2018

1 online café trial group(20 people), 7 power-Instagrammer contents, 2 Facebook popular page contents will be conducted.

More than 700,000 views will be generated through the social media promotions with USD$ 70,000 ad value.

9. TV home-shopping

Jan 2018

It was scheduled on January 26(Fri) in Lotte Home shopping, but unfortunately, the MD of Lotte Home-shopping decided to conduct Peruvian mango instead of Chilean cherries because of the unstable supply of Chilean cherries caused by quarantine problem. Therefore, agency suggests shifting the budget for TV home-shopping(USD$ 20,000) to In-store sampling and thus maximize its sales in retail stores.
