Capital RequirementMetro projects are capital intensive with low financialreturns.They require multiple funding sources and have a complexfinancial arrangement

Limited private investmentFor Metro projects undertaken on PPP basis, securingfunds is a challengePredominantly government funded.

Time and cost overrunsLand acquisition can cause delays.Cost escalation due to delays are a major concern.
