Projects funded by this bond would provide space to accommo- date growth at the elemen- tary, middle, and high school levels through 2028 at current enrollment projections. Funds are also included to purchase land for future high school and elementary school needs. CHENEY HIGH SCHOOL Cheney High School is 300 students beyond capacity and ex- pected to grow to 1,600 students by 2028. This project expands CHS to a capacity of over 1,600 students, adding 17 classrooms and additional instructional spaces, including a weight and fitness room, auditorium for drama and music, and practice gym for classes and extracurricular activities. A secure entry and security/camera system are added to address safety. Hallway and parking expansion and reconfigu- ration, as well as a commons area, will support traffic flow and future growth. 27,000 sq. feet of space is renovated, including a woods room, metal shop, agriculture room, and business classroom.
