Charles County Public Schools Title I Three-Year-Old Program Distance Learning Resources Dear Parents, Charles County Public Schools will be providing activities to ensure learning continues during the COVID-19 global crisis. Please refer to the Title I Three-Year-Old 4-week activity calendar, online resources, and activities listed below. In addition to the activity calendar, please practice the following daily (Monday- Friday): Read at least 5-8 minutes (Note: The book does not need to be finished each time. Leave room for anticipation!) Sample questions can include: o Look at the picture. What do you think is going is happen next? o What is that a picture of? o What was your favorite part of the story? Recite the letters of the alphabet while pointing to each letter (chart attached) Count to at least 10 (go further if your child is able) Count at least ten objects Review colors (attached) Review shapes (attached) Review letters in your child’s name by pointing to the letters as well as asking your child to identify the letters out of order (attached) Build gross motor skills with activities such as hopping, jumping, skipping, throwing, and catching Remember to practice snapping, buttoning and zipping clothing items *Note If you do not have a printed copy of the document, please use a blank piece of paper for tracing activities. The activities should take no longer than 1-hour total per day. Feel free to do the activities throughout the course of the day in short time intervals (5-8 minutes). If your child needs an additional challenge, choose activities from the prekindergarten packet. The packet is available at www.ccboe.com or at any of the food pick-up locations. Charles County Public Schools will be providing activities to ensure learning continues during the COVID-19 global

crisis. Please refer to the Title I Three-Year-Old 4-week activity calendar, online resources, and activities listed below.

In addition to the activity calendar, please practice the following daily (Monday- Friday):
