Promised Land, unless they fight enemies of their salvation (sin)

• March silently around Jericho once a day for 6 days.

• The 7th day, march around 7 times. Priests blow horns, people shout and the walls fall down

• Jabin - the Canaanite king• Sisera – General of Jaban’s army

• Deborah tells Barak that he will win, but Barak wants Deborah to go with him. If she does, he will not get the glory, it will go to a woman.

• Strong judge whose strength was in his hair (obedience to God)

• Left home and family in Moab to go with Naomi to Bethlehem

• Enters the bloodline of Jesus• “Your people will be my people, your God will

• Emphasizes that Holiness and salvation are not just for the Jews, but for all

Why Israel wanted a king
