Barry L. Neufeld (604) 793-9053 #16- 46689 First Ave, Chilliwack, BC V2P1X5 [email protected] Professional Profile I believe I have an innate calling to serve the marginalized, poor and oppressed. I have demonstrated a caring and compassionate approach to a wide variety of “at risk” individuals, meeting them where they are comfortable. In 2003, I was assigned as a Restorative Justice Youth Facilitator for the Provincial Courts. At the direction of Judges, this involved intense preparation with hostile victims, offenders and case management teams, encouraging them to consider the alternative of forgiveness instead of retribution, bitterness and anger. This flowed from my foundational belief that all people are created in the image of God, but through disobedience, that image has been dimmed and marred. Through Christ’s incarnation, death and resurrection humankind has been given the opportunity by grace to choose the path to salvation and holy living in the power of the Holy Spirit. Sometimes, even I have been amazed to witness the transforming power of forgiveness in situations of incredible personal harm: assault causing bodily harm, manslaughter and even murder. Professional Profile

I believe I have an innate calling to serve the marginalized, poor and oppressed. I have demonstrated

a caring and compassionate approach to a wide variety of “at risk” individuals, meeting them where

they are comfortable. In 2003, I was assigned as a Restorative Justice Youth Facilitator for the

Provincial Courts. At the direction of Judges, this involved intense preparation with hostile victims,

offenders and case management teams, encouraging them to consider the alternative of forgiveness

instead of retribution, bitterness and anger. This flowed from my foundational belief that all people

are created in the image of God, but through disobedience, that image has been dimmed and marred.

Through Christ’s incarnation, death and resurrection humankind has been given the opportunity by

grace to choose the path to salvation and holy living in the power of the Holy Spirit. Sometimes,

even I have been amazed to witness the transforming power of forgiveness in situations of incredible

personal harm: assault causing bodily harm, manslaughter and even murder.
