during times of need!”
25th Anniversary Celebration
T he Chaplaincy’s 25th Anniversary Celebration was held on February 5, 2014 at the
Charleston Marriott. The event was a huge success with over 450 people in attendance. Our Business of the Year Award was presented to The Boeing Company for their continuous support of the Chaplaincy. Ms. Anita Zucker was presented with the J. V. Nichols Award in recognition of her ongoing loyalty to and backing of the Chaplaincy. Proclamations recognizing the Chaplaincy for 25 years of service to the community were presented by the office of Senator Tim Scott, the office of Mayor Summey, (City of North Charleston), Mayor Page, (Town of Mt. Pleasant), and Herb Sass, (Charleston County Council). Thanks to
everyone’s generosity, the Chaplaincy was able to raise nearly $30,000 while enjoying a wonderful night of fellowship and reflection.

“Many thanks for the J.V. Nichols Dedicated Service Award! I personally knew Vic Nichols and I am honored to receive an award bearing his name. My staff, family and I enjoyed the event very much and are so appreciative of everything the Coastal Crisis Chaplaincy does to comfort and assist those in need. Hope to see you again soon.” Warm Regards, Anita Zuker
“It was obvious through the words that were shared that evening that our organization has touched many lives in our community. Based on several testimonies there are many who have suffered in their own tragedies, had the caring support of our organization, and then decided to be a part of the Coastal Crisis Chaplaincy in reaching out to comfort others.” Bill Honeycutt CCC Board Member Survivor Follow Up Member

“The ‘mix and mingle’ format of the evening added to the festivities. This setting allowed lots of time to hear the personal stories of how the CCC has touched the lives of so many. The Chaplaincy knows how to throw a good party for a great cause!” Jeff Winkler The InterTech Group, Inc.
