As we move into January, 2017, let us, as members, consider one New Year’s Resolution: to make more use of Timberlake Country Club. If we, as a club, are going to succeed we must have the support of our mem-bers - whether it be play more golf, bring a friend or two to play golf, taking advantage of the restaurant and lounge, or signing up to partici-pate in the various member events (Name That Tune, “Paint and Pour”, Trivia, Buffet nights, etc.). Monthly Golf Tournament

Attention Timberlake Senior Golfers … Each

month we are invited to participate in the Central

States Seniors Golf Association tournaments,

which are played at different courses throughout

the midlands. This is an excellent opportunity to

meet other players in our area, experience differ-

ent golf courses, and compete for prizes. A

monthly sign-up sheet is posted in the Timber-

lake Clubhouse.

There is a flat fee of $5 per year per person par-

ticipating. The entry fee for each tournament is

$25 per person participating. This entry fee in-

cludes: a round of golf, cart fee, and coffee and

donuts. Prizes are also awarded from the entry

fee.

For additional information, contact Bob Hill via

email @ [email protected] or via phone

at 945-9560.

Central State Seniors

The Central State Seniors tournament for Decem-

ber was played at Hunter’s Creek Country Club in

Greenwood, SC.

Several golfers from Timberlake played in the

event. Congrats to Jim Valentine and Jake Strow-

bridge who were winners in their flights. Alan

Hale and Gary Robbins won “Closest to the Pin”.

The next Senior Tournament will be played at

Stoney Point Golf Club on January 24th in Green-

wood, SC. Sign-up sheet for the event is located

in the Pro Shop.

Name That Tune

Come SING in the new year! Exciting new scoring for the last tune that will separate the men & women from the boys & girls!!!

Additional information and our January Calendar are posted on our Website www.Timberlakecountryclub.com

The Timberlake Ladies Book Club will

meet on Wednesday, January 6 for their

first meeting in 2017. We meet at 1:00

PM at the Club and many get together at

11:30 prior to the meeting for lunch. Our

book for January is The Butterfly's

Daughter by Mary Alice Monroe.

Michele DuPre will be reviewing it for

us. We have an interesting list of books

for 2017 and invite everyone to join us

the first Wednesday of the month at the

Club for our meetings. We do not meet

in July and in December we have our

annual Christmas party and no book re-

view. The dues are $10 which defrays the

cost of meeting at the Club. For more

information about the Book Club, please

contact Carolyn Winchip at 345-0455 or
