Assembly Expectations• Conversation Quiet conversation with neighbor until signal is given. Signals: School song, person raises hand, person walks up to microphone. During flag salute, no conversation, including standing or while returning to sitting.

• Help Raise hand, stand and go quietly to teacher

• Activity Eyes on speaker, active listening, clap hands when appropriate, voices off, stay seated flat on floor

• Movement When directed by speaker or activity

• Participation Everyone

Arrival and Recess Line Expectations

• Conversation At all times students are lined up outside before and after the bell, quiet conversation with neighbor is allowed until signal is given. Signal: Teacher is visible on playground and walking towards their classroom line.

• Help Raise hand or go to the available adult.

• Activity Stand on class line in ABC order. As teacher arrives, students follow teachers signal into the building. Teachers will enter their class into the hallway when hallway expectations are shown.

• Movement Hands are to sides or folded in front. Backpack is worn on back not carried or wheeled into the building. No rough play, touching or leaving line.

• Participation Everyone. All students riding a bus, walking or arriving by vehicle. Parents with students they drop off should not arrive earlier than 8:25.

Bathroom Expectations• Conversation No

• Help Seek closest classroom teacher if dangerous or inappropriate activity. Report immediately any physical damage or messes to teacher or adult.

• Activity Go, Flush, Wash, Leave

• Movement Eyes forward, second tile in hall, be respectful of other classes

• Participation One or two students at a time. Teacher will stay in hallway to monitor students as groups become larger.

Dismissal ExpectationsBus Line

• Conversation Quiet conversation with neighbor until signal is given. Signal may be as simple as “May I have your attention please, bus number _______is

here” Students enter bus with voices in a respectful, courteous volume.

• Help Walk up to adult in charge if an immediate attention to a problem is needed.

• Activity Sit in bus run rows, two rows for each bus labeled primary and intermediate. Read quietly or talk to neighbor while seated flat on floor., no seating

changes, bathroom use, water fountain use or library use.. Siblings may sit together.

• Movement When signal is given, students walk in bus line in an orderly fashion. While waiting: Bathroom, drinks, library and returns to classroom, is not allowed.

• Participation Everyone in line

Hallway Expectations• Conversation Any groups three or more will have no conversation while walking. If

two students only are walking together, then quiet, private conversation is allowed. For lunchroom and long waits, private conversation is allowed at the discretion of the teacher. Teacher will signal class when no conversation is necessary towards the cashier desk.

• Help Raise hand if supervised, otherwise seek closest adult.

• Activity Stand and stay in line in ABC order. Feet are in the second tile, hands are away from walls and to sides or folded.

• Movement Eyes forward, second tile in hall, be respectful of other classes being taught and projects on wall.

• Participation One or two students at a time unsupervised. Teacher will stay in hallway to monitor students as groups become larger than two.
