1 Goals of the Event

The event took place at the Sala Legrenzi c/o the local public Museum of the Municipality of Clusone on 10th of May 2019. Main goal of the meeting was

the conclusion of the CLC work about Cesba Alps project and the related best practices obtained.

The meeting was also the occasion to gather many other subjects besides those making up the CLC, such as in particular some representatives of the

professional world and students from vocational schools that train specialized technicians on sustainable mobility issues.

The advantages for the local area deriving from the participation in the CESBA Alps project: awareness of sustainability issues, transparency of local

policies, team working, encouragement to use European projects. These are the main local results of the project.

4 Main results

The main local result of the event is the opportunity for local municipalities, stakeholders, students, and representatives of the professional world to

have access to CESBA Local Community and take advantage of its results.

In particular:

• awareness of sustainability issues,

• transparency of local policies,

• team working,

• encouragement to use European projects,

• To quantitatively measure sustainable performances at local level,

• stimulating local stake holders (Municipalities, energy and mobility local agencies) to cooperate on common sustainable targets to be achieved at a supra local level in collaboration with Regional and provincial administrations.

5 Summary

As a pilot region within CESBA Alps, the Clusone municipality and related local stakeholders (local energy agencies…. ) have set a focus on mobility, energy and tourism. Among all sectors, mobility engenders the highest energy consumption: 40 percent of CO2 emissions comes from the mobility sector – and mobility is the only sector with an increasing energy consumption. Therefore, the Clusone Municipality as the pilot area and the CESBA CLC have invited representatives from municipalities and experts such as a representative from energy-efficiency-agents and the ITS Mobility Institute, specialized in sustainable mobility transport. Together, they showed by video new initiatives for a green mobility and a sustainable tourism and a pool of possible measures to help municipalities to advance the energy efficiency of buildings, public and private. The Moderator, Dr Paolo Confalonieri, managed to narrow down the main topics and major potentials of the region in one workshop day, highlighting the results of the work done by the local CESBA Committee. Approximately 40 persons, among which some representatives from the neighbouring Seriana Valley municipalities, attended the event which took place on the 10th of May 2019 in Clusone (Bergamo).
