Preparatory coursesOverviewThe three-day course trains participants in how to establish and work with KPIs and offers them the opportunity to get certified on the ability to deploy and use KPIs in accordance with The KPI Institute’s Key Performance Indicators Management Framework, the main body of knowledge on the rigorous use of KPIs in business.

AssessmentParticipants will be pre-tested by using a multiple choice questionnaire at the beginning of each session. On Day 3, delegates can opt in to attend a final test to obtain the Certified KPI Professional certification from The KPI Institute.

KPI Professional CertificationOverviewThe two-day course trains participants in how to deploy and use the KPI Management Framework, according with the institute KPI Practitioner Certification standards. It focuses on practical exercises, which account for 90 percent of the course’s time, the remaining time being dedicated to review relevant theoretical concepts.

AssessmentIndependent from the course, participants can opt in to obtain their KPI Practitioner Certification by following the steps highlighted in the Certification Process section.

D The certification process requires the submission of an application portfolio. The application portfolio contains a set of 20 documents (see Application Portfolio section for details);

D Application portfolios are assessed based on criteria established for each of the 20 documents that must be submitted; criteria are listed in the Application Assessment Guide;

D For each submitted document, an applicant can receive a maximum of 25 points, totaling a maximum of 500 points for the entire portfolio. In order to be recognized as a Certified KPI Practitioner, an applicant should obtain at least 80 percent (a minimum of 400 points) out of these 500 available.

D Confidentiality is strictly maintained and all submitted documents are solely used for the purpose of assessing an applicant’s ability to deploy and use KPIs in accordance with The KPI Institute’s Key Performance Indicators Management Framework;

D All documents should refer to the same project and should be developed in an aligned manner, so that information provided in one document does not conflict with the information provided in another. The required documents follow the flow of a typical KPI project and so should the documents that you are including in the application portfolio;

D All application documents must be submitted in English.

Certification CriteriaFor certification

D Posses a KPI Professional Certification; D Obtain a minimum of 400 out of 500 points on the assessment of your application portfolio.

For recertificationThe KPI Practitioner Certification has a validity of 3 years, as recognized by The KPI Institute. In order to stay updated with the latest developments and best practices in the performance management field and aligned to The KPI Institute standards the KPI Practitioner Certification is recommended to be renewed every three years.

Registration ProcessIf you do not receive an acknowledgement of receipt for your Application Form within 24 hours please contact office@kpiinstitute.com. The same applies in case of not receiving an acknowledgement of payment receipt within 24 hours from your bank’s estimated transfer time.

Certification fees

Standard certification fee: $500 D Option 1: $425 for applicants who register within 3 months from the date of obtaining the Certified KPI Professional certification D Option 2: $350 for applicants who have completed the Certified KPI Practitioner preparation course

Reassessment fee: $200 for professionals whose application portfolio do not meet the 400 points requirement and need to be reviewed for the third time or more

Recertification fee: $300 for KPI Practitioner Certified professionals who decide to renew their certification validity (every 3 years).
