Based on lectures, case studies and discussions, the seminar is designed for practitioners who wish to acquire tools for the planning, management, monitoring and evaluation of humanitarian projects using a results-based management approach.
By the end of the seminar, participants will be able to:
• define the project cycle management, with a specific emphasis on needs assessment
• design and plan a project using principles of result-Based management
• Programme and monitor activities using the logical framework as a tool
each seminar corresponds to 2 eCtS credits and is recognized by the university of Geneva and the Graduate Institute of International and development Studies.
In cooperation with a range of partners engaged in the humanitarian field, the Centre for education and research in Humanitarian action (CeraH) offers one-week thematic seminars on a number of relevant, current topics of humanitarian action. the seminars are designed for professionals with experience in the humanitarian field, who wish to engage in-depth with one of the topics offered.
led by senior academics and experienced humanitarian professionals, the seminars allow participants to develop their analytical skills and acquire practical tools which can be applied to their work. each seminar uses case studies, while also encouraging participants to draw upon their own experiences.
