A conductive coating (less than 104 Ohms) used for electrostatic shielding and other applicationswhere rapid drain of static charge is required.

A static dissipative coating (106 - 109 Ohms) that provides a slower, controlled drain of staticcharge. Used to minimize the hazard of Charged Device Model (CDM) failures.

A combination of static dissipative coating(s) on exposed surfaces and conductive inner linercoating(s) on non-exposed surfaces. Used to minimize CDM failure hazards when electrostaticshielding is required.

A visually recognizable static dissipative graphite gray coating (106 - 109 Ohms) that provides aslower, controlled drain of static charge. Used to minimize CDM failures. Additional colorsavailable for in-plant identification systems or corporate identity. Blue and yellow in stock, cus-tom colors available on request. See next page.

A combination of static dissipative and flame retardant coatings used in applications where CDMsafety and flammability requirements must be met; e.g., Bellcore GR-1421 and PPP-F- 00320EMilitary Specifications. Meets ASTM E-162 standard with a flame spread of 20 or less.

A water-based, non-toxic, colorless and odorless flame retardant saturant that raises combustiontemperature, reduces the rate of flame spread and heat release, and improves the static controlproperties of corrugated and chipboard materials.

A light blue-gray static dissipative coating (106 - 109 Ohms) that contains no metals, carbon, orvolatile anti-stats. This semi-conductor based coating is excellent for applications with stringentmaterial transfer requirements.

A clear static dissipative coating (106 - 109 Ohms) that minimizes the hazard of CDM failures,allows any base color to be used, and virtually eliminates rub-off for applications with stringentmaterial transfer considerations.

A static dissipative and corrosion preventive coating used on the interior surfaces of Centurianproducts for CDM safety and corrosion protection. Static Intercept™ is a Lucent Technologies BellLabs patented technology.

A silver-gray metallized recyclable film that is amine-free and has a permanently static dissipativesurface. Non-humidity dependent and con-contaminating through outgassing or direct contact.Contains a buried metal shielding layer that creates a Faraday Cage. Surface resistance: 10

The Centurian® ESD Protective Cabinet

The Centurian Cabinet is a major part of a complete ESD Solution... it organizes, and efficientlystores circuit card assemblies in addition to providing ESD and physical protection.

The cabinet features Patented Receding Doors that slide effortlessly into side pockets within thecabinet. A three point locking mechanism with a flush recessed handle provides security for allcontents. Cabinet is welded construction with 20 and 22 gauge exterior parts and 13 to 16 gauges on the base and structural parts. Each cabinetis painted with a durable powder coat finish.

Extra strong shelves incorporate a corrugated membrane that provides maximum weight bearingcapacity. Shelves are laminated with permanently dissipative liners that are grooved on 1/4” cen-ters, accept bare boards or boards encased in clam shells, trays or boxes. Each shelf includes astatic discharge bar that can be installed across the front of shelf. This bar will drain the user ofelectrostatic charge before contact and removal of cabinet contents.

The dissipative liner material has a surface resistance of >1x106 to <1x109 Ohms. This material,which complies with ESDA S20.20-1999 specifications, bleeds off a charge at an optimal rate,neither too fast nor too slow, thus eliminating arcing to prevent ESD damage.

Patented adjustable stainless steel brackets provide user complete flexibility to adjust shelves on1/16” increments to accommodate different size circuit card assemblies with or without externalpackaging.

This cabinet is equipped with four grounding connections and includes two exterior wriststrap connections. Cabinets are factory tested to verify continuity of ground path for static dis-charge. In addition, cabinets are equipped with reinforced floor mounting brackets that areengineered for all earthquake zones. Brackets are easily accessible through a removable panelin the base cabinet.
