And the Swimmer of the Month is…
Did you know? That if you refer a friend who
joins the team, you are eligible for a ½ month off your dues?
That’s great!
You Can Help! When you’re at the pool, extend a warm greeting to prospective and new families.
You can answer their questions, and even get a registration packet from the
file drawer for them.
CTAC is a parent-run organization.
We’re all here for our kids!
Hydration is always a difficult concept for young swimmers to understand, especially if they spend hours in the pool and don’t notice how much they are sweating during practice. There will always be debates on how much water to drink and at what time. Every swimmer is different and I’d like to give specific guidelines, but I won’t. What I would like to say, is that every swimmer should bring a water bottle to practice and fill it with water or diluted sports drink. I’m not a big fan of sports drinks because of their high sugar content but if the athlete must have it, it’s best to dilute it with water as much as possible. The young swimmer will find that good hydration will help performance and recovery. Drink up!

Looking Forward…
On Thursday, January 13th CTAC will hold our first Personal Best swim meet.
This is an in-house meet for all members of our team to participate in. The Personal Best meet will be a great opportunity for our kids to show their
families and each other how far they’ve come with all their hard work. We will
make this a monthly event.
More details to come…
