African American Caregiving and Wellness Forum April 16, 2016 at Ed Roberts Campus at Ashby BART

Presented by: UC Davis Alzheimer’s Disease Center,

Sup. Keith Carson and the Alzheimer’s Association

This is your opportunity to learn more about Alzheimer’s disease, and interact with other caregivers in similar care giving situations as yours. African Americans continue to be twice as likely to develop Alzheimer’s dis-ease or other dementias, and more likely diagnosed in the late stages of this disease. In addition to learning more about Alz-heimer’s disease, caregivers will learn how to respond when Alzheimer’s causes unpredictable behaviors, how to reduce your risk of developing Alzheimer’s, and various ways to stay strong during stressful care giving experiences.

This is a FREE event and open to the public > Complimentary lunch provided
