Since 1891, the University of La Verne has been dedicated to the belief that a quality, values-based education enriches the human condition by engendering service, scholarly accomplishment, and professionalism.

Though decades of growth have changed its appearance and reach, La Verne has retained its sense of purpose, seeking to provide students with individual attention to spark personal growth through intellectual challenge and development. The University takes pride in knowing its nearly 50,000 alumni worldwide have made a difference in their professions and communities.

About the University of La Verne

The University of La Verne Music Department believes its mission is to provide a music foundation in theory, history and literature, performance and values that will enhance the quality of life and ensure opportunities that will fulfill our students’ professional aspirations. While we dedicate ourselves to preparing students to pursue music as a profession, we also believe that all students, regardless of major, will be effective leaders in their communities and professions when enriched with the opportunity to explore and develop their personal musical talents and creative imagination.

Today the University of La Verne choral program offers the following:

• A choir for each singer, from beginner to the advanced musician• Choral-orchestral masterworks with professional soloists and

Translations

Wangol, you are leaving. When will I see you again? The country is changing

How many nights against the North windI saw the Northern Lights fighting;Fighting in the sky, the Northern Lights Bring wars to our land.

God, how good it is to look upon her,so graceful, good, and beautiful! For the great goodness that is hers, everyone is ready to praise her.

Who could grow tired of her?Her beauty constantly renews itself.God, how good it is to look upon her,so graceful, good, and beautiful!

On neither side of the oceando I know any woman or girlwho is in all virtues so perfect;it is a dream just to think of herGod, how good it is to look upon her!

Friends of ULV Choral Activities is a group of select individuals dedicated to the support of choral music at the University of La Verne. We recognize that the depth of feeling developed through the performance of choral mu-sic reveals itself in the inner feeling we experience in our everyday non-musical lives with friends, family, nature, and other personal situations.

This is the very reason for, and purpose of the Arts – to learn to experi-ence, express, and freely communicate the full range of human emotion in a totally uninhibited manner. In so doing, we can more fully develop the human spirit.

If you share this vision, please consider becoming a FRIEND OF ULV CHORAL ACTIVITIES by making a tax-deductible donation to La Verne Choral Music.

Thank you for your generous support of the arts!
