CamperQuotes
Here is what some of our Campers and Staff have to say about Kinasao:
Whatdid YOU learn
about GODthis summer?
Whatwas YOUR FAVOURITE
part about CAMP?
That He has everlasting love andalways forgives.
That God’s strength never fails, however yourstrength does and it is better to put yourstrength in God than to rely on yourself.
I learned that we should always trust God ineverything that we do. God will always bethere for you. God has never ending love.
Love the Lord your God with all your heartand all your soul and all your strength.Deuteronomy 6:5
Playing volleyball, eating yummy food, going tothe canteen, kayaking, swimming, and singing thecampfire and chapel songs!
Getting to know the people [in week in the wild]and camping with them every summer isawesome! And the canoe trips are super fun!

Taking the canoes out onto the lake to stargaze and worship God. Thelake was like glass, there were bright green dancing northern lights, andI’ve never seen such a clear sky. Praising God with the rest of the staff thatnight is a moment I won’t ever forget.
Seeing the renewal of the children’s minds as they learned more aboutGod’s never ending love for them!
The staff canoe trip! It was great to be able to take a break and spendtime with some of my favourite people in God’s amazing creation.
Playing late night games with the teen campers and being able to see thestars and northern lights while playing.
Week in the Wild Thursday night. We had the kids make their ownshelters out of ropes and tarps. It was great until quarter to five thatmorning, when it rained so hard all of their shelters failed. So at that pointCory and I grabbed a tarp and two of the taller campers and ran everyoneup to the retreat centre and then to the cabins for shelter and sleep.More adventure in one hour than I had the rest of the year.
Whydo you WORK at
KINASAO?Kinasao is a place that makes you
the person you are truly made to be.
I had such great memories as acamper and I wanted to be a part of
this ministry as staff.
I work at camp because I get to be apart of something bigger thanmyself. God is so present in this
place. He is always changing lives, healing hearts, and renewing spirits
of all who pass through here.Getting to be on the front lines forthe summer portion of this ministry
has been such an enormousblessing and learning opportunity.I’ve grown so much from being
thrown headfirst into the ministrythat Kinasao facilitates, and havebeen really encouraged by whatGod has done in my life and the
lives of those around me.
There is no place that I would ratherspend my summers than at Kinasao. This place and its community havebecome like a home and a family forme and for many others over the
years. It is truly a blessing to be ableto be a part of the ministry of Ki-nasao that has touched so manylives over the past 75 years andmany more for years to come.
It’s such a positive and affirmingcommunity where we all build eachother up. I feel so encouraged andsupported when I’m here. It’s morethan just a summer job, it’s a home!
