Everything you need, in one place

We will host a memorable reception for you and your guests; up to 50 inside the grade 2 listed mansion house and up to 150 in our marquee following a wedding at

the church of your choice. Book a full wedding service package, with a civil wedding or partnership, in one of our four licensed rooms. From weddings of the

rich and famous to the girl next door, our focus is you.

We will work with you to help create the wedding that you always imagined. With private use of the house and grounds you’ll get time to prepare for the big day,

help us with any of the tiny details that will make a big difference, or maybe you’ll find time to relax in our hot tub… You’ll also benefit from our advice and contacts. We can arrange anything from flowers, cakes, marquee dressing, ordering wine,

chefs. Even arranging activities such as a couples massage, pamper sessions, fishing boat trips, zorbing or golf.

The VenueBuilt in 1824 and set in 10 acres of beautiful woodland, East Dene Isle of Wight wedding venue is a tribute to Victorian splendour. The past home of Algernon Swinburne – Poet and Raconteur – it is a treasure trove of history, through its time as the Convent of the Sacred Heart and as a Country Hotel.


Adjacent to the 11th Century chapel of St Boniface,

Bonchurch and the centre of village life for generations –

you’ll find everything you need from your wedding venue in

one place.

On The Isle of Wight, the most magical of British islands, soak up the view from our

south facing lawns and gardens. Breathe easy,

sit a while and take things a little more slowly.

The Drawing Room and Dining Room are full of

original features with ornately decorated ceilings and

wooden panelling. They are scrumptiously Victorian,

providing a perfect backdrop.

Our Packages

A standard wedding planning and administration charge of £220 is added to all bookings apart from family and celebration package. Use of venue begins at 8am on day of wedding unless otherwise stated.

Additional marquee hire, registrar and licensing fees may apply.


Food & Drink

We cater to any diet, likes and dislikes or religious observance. We design our menus around your wedding and with fantastic food producers on the island, we use Local

produce as much as possible. We are licensed and can provide a Bar stocked with all the usual suspects, Real Ales brewed on the Isle of Wight or Mocktails packed with Fresh

Organic Fruit Juices; and with a well stocked cellar full of fine wines and champagne, we know we’ll keep your Guests from getting thirsty.
