Warranties

Your unit is covered by one of the best warranties in the industry.Your newCBX32MV or CBX32M blower coil unit is backed by a 5–year limited partswarranty. That’s one more reason to trust Lennox.

Your Dave Lennox Signature Collection CBX32MV orElite Series CBX32M blower coil unit includes a sheetwhich outlines the warranty and its conditions. Keep yourwarranty along with other important records concerning

the purchase and maintenance of your heating and cooling equipment.

You should be aware that failure to maintain your system as outlined in thismanual will void your equipment warranty.

MaintenanceIn order to ensure peak performance, your system must be properly main-tained. Clogged filters and blocked airflow prevent your unit from operatingat its most efficient level.

Ask your Lennox dealer to show you where your blower coil’s filter is lo-cated. It will be either at the indoor unit (installed internal or external to thecabinet) or behind a return air grille in the wall or ceiling. Check the filtermonthly and clean or replace it as needed.

Disposable filters should be replaced with a filter of the same type and size.If you are unsure about the filter you need for your system, call your Lennoxdealer for assistance.

Important!

Turn off electrical power to the unit at the disconnect switch beforeperforming any maintenance. The unit may have multiple powersupplies.

Many indoor units are equipped with re-usable foam filters. These filters canbe cleaned with a mild soap and water solution. Rinse the filter thoroughlyand let it dry completely before it is returned to the unit or grille.

The filter and all access panels must be in place any time the unit is inoperation.

Your system may be equipped with an electronic aircleaner which will provide respiratory relief by re-moving up to 90 percent of all airborne particleswhich pass through it. If it is, ask your dealer toinstruct you on its maintenance.

Your blower coil unit is equipped with a drain panto collect condensate formed as your system re-moves humidity from the inside air. Have yourdealer show you where the main condensate drain(and auxiliary drain, if applicable) runs and how tocheck the drain for any obstruction.

It is also veryimportant toprovideunrestrictedairflow to theoutdoor unit.Leaves, trashor shrubscrowding theunit cause theoutdoor unitto work harder and use more energy. Keepshrubbery trimmed away from the unit andperiodically check for debris which may havecollected around the unit.

operation. The auto mode allows the system to auto-matically switch from heating mode to cooling mode tomaintain predetermined comfort settings. Many heatpump thermostats are also equipped with an emergencyheat mode which locks out heat pump operation andprovides temporary heat supplied by the auxiliary heat.

Indicating LightMost heat pump thermostats have an amber light whichindicates when the heat pump is operating in theemergency heat mode.

Temperature IndicatorThe temperature indicator displays the actual roomtemperature.

Programmable ThermostatsYour Lennox system may be controlled by aprogrammable thermostat. These thermostats providethe added feature of programmable time-of-daysetpoints for both heating and cooling. Refer to theuser’s information manual provided with yourparticular thermostat for operation details.

Your new blower coil unit may be used with either anair conditioner or heat pump. Though your thermostatmay vary somewhat from the description below, itsoperation will be similar.

Temperature Setting LeversMost thermostats have two temperature selector levers:one for heating and one for cooling. Set the levers ordials to the desired temperature setpoints for bothheating and cooling. Avoid frequent temperature ad-justment; turning the unit off and back on before pres-sures equalize puts stress on the unit compressor.

Fan SwitchIn AUTO or INT (intermittent) mode, the bloweroperates only when the thermostat calls for heating orcooling. This mode is generally preferred whenhumidity control is a priority. The ON or CONT modeprovides continuous indoor blower operation, regardless of whether the compressor or auxiliary heatare operating. This mode is required when constant aircirculation or filtering is desired.
