Congratulations girls, you did a great job. Congratulations to the boys who are playing in the Knights Knockout competition. They were successful in last week’s semi -final and now go on to contest the final in Penrith next week. Well done boys and thank you to Mr Manning and Mr Ballard for the coaching efforts! All of our participants in the Multicultural Public Speaking Competition also deserve to be congratulated. To Daniel P in 6T who came 3 rd in his section and was highly commended, and Tors Webster in 4W who came 2 nd in his section, well done boys. The Boys’ Soccer team also competed in a Gala Day, well done boys! Mr Roberts was proud of you. Next week is Education Week and our school is planning to hold an Open Day on Wednesday 1 st August to which parents are invited. There will be more details later in the newsletter. This term we welcome a new staff member to our school, Mrs Jenny Coughtrie. Mrs Coughtrie takes over from Mrs Smart, as our Learning and Support Teacher (LAST). Her role will be to assist teachers to meet the identified learning and behaviour needs. BAND NEWS Our Band Committee Meeting will be this Thursday at 8am in Mrs Gibson Room, all welcome. A reminder that our Family Band Night is on Friday, 17th August at Swansea RSL and we are asking for donations for our famous raffle. If you are able to contribute any prizes, please take them to Mrs Gibson's Room. Remember our theme for this year's raffle is "Entertainment".

RUGBY LEAGUE

Caves Beach played King St, Singleton in the final of the Knights

Knockout. In a hard fought and exciting game the final score was 16

all. Our boys won on a countback. The team will now play in Sydney

to determine the NSW champions. WELL DONE!

P&C NEWS Please note that the P&C meeting is tonight at 7pm in the staffroom.

All parents are welcome and encouraged to attend. Also, please note

the changes to the school calendar regarding the Father’s Day

Breakfast and Father’s Day Stall which are on the 29th and 30th

August, respectively. Keep your eye out in the newsletter regarding

the Family Bingo night that is happening this term which will be our

major fundraiser for the year. We are working toward raising money

for a covered walkway from the drop off zone to the Cola.

UNIFORM SHOP

The uniform shop opening times will be changing this term. The new

opening times will be Wednesday only, but we will be open for 1 hour,

2.30 – 3.30pm. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

There is a couple of ways you can purchase uniforms. You can come

into the shop on Wednesday or you can fill in an order form. This can

be done at your own convenience, anytime of the week.

Order forms are available at the school office or on the school

website. Payment can be made at the office, cash or cheque. If

paying cash, please ensure that you have correct money in an

envelope. If paying direct deposit details are on the order form on the

website. Please ensure that a copy of deposit receipt is attached to

the order form. Once we have received your order and payment the

items will be delivered to the classroom of your child. Thank you.
