One of the original reasons for sending it home with the youngest child was that usually parents check their little ones’ bag regularly looking for their lunch boxes, jackets or hats. With this change, hopefully more newsletters will get home. Don’t forget though, the newsletter is always available on our school website. Any permission notes that are sent home are also available on the website to download. As well, there is an email option for the newsletter. If you would like to send in your email address, it can be emailed to you. The Department of Education has been experiencing difficulty with some Hotmail and Yahoo addresses, so if for some reason the newsletter doesn’t make it home, please check the website. As always, at the beginning of the year, there appears to be chaos with parking outside the school. Please do not leave your car if you have parked on the side of the road nearest the school. The signs label that area as a No Parking zone. Should the police or a ranger be in the vicinity, you will be fined. Every child’s safety is everyone’s concern. continue to raise funds for a covered walkway between the drop off

zone and the COLA. This term we will be holding a disco and sausage

sizzle as well as an Easter raffle.

The P&C agreed that fundraising efforts should go toward resources

that will assist all students and the school as a whole and as such a

vote was made to no longer provide the $50 donation to children who

participate in state sporting competitions. The P&C provides funds to

cover the cost of sporting and academic awards at the school

Presentation Day and will continue to do so.
