This year we are celebrating the 25th Catholic Schools Music Festival! From its humble beginnings in 1989 with the first performance held at St. Peter’s Memorial Hall, the Festival has seen thousands of children and young people live out their dream of performing on Adelaide’s premier stage of the Adelaide Festival Theatre.

Each year, the 400 strong primary children’s choir supported by some of Adelaide’s most talented stage bands, string ensembles, percussion groups, soloists and vocal ensembles from Catholic schools continue to amaze the expectations of audiences time and time again. We know that this year will be no exception!

As always, the theme of the Festival Choir songs will take you on a roller coaster ride of emotions. From the opening number you will be taken on a journey of discovery with a fair sprinkling of drama, fun, nostalgia and a 21st Century take on the classics.

We wish to acknowledge and thank the dedication of the Choir Trainers, Music Coordinators and the Festival Committee, who make this performance possible. We also thank the South Australian Commission for Catholic Schools, Catholic Education SA, school principals and you, the families and friends for your support.

So now, sit back and be taken on a musical journey as seen through the eyes of a child. Discover the true colours of your imagination as you ride on an eagle’s wing on a once in a life-time experience!
