FROM THE DESK OF THE PRINCIPAL… Dear R. B. Hunt Family,
Thank you so much to our P.T.A.O. board, parents and students for the wonderful goodies and gifts you provided throughout the week to our amazing teachers in honor of Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week. A special thank you to Purple Olive and P.T.A.O. for our awesome luncheon on Wednesday and the fun drawing for various gift cards on the morning news. Thank you for making everyone feel so special.
We have a limited number of extra yearbooks for sale for $20, cash or check made out to R. B. Hunt. Pre-orders were delivered today to students and yearbooks will be sold in the morning before and after school. A special thank you to Patience Atteberry, our media technician, for doing a fantastic job on the yearbook!
Please join us for a special evening to Celebrate the Arts this Tuesday, May 9th beginning at 3:00 until 6:00 p.m. in the art room with a display of student artwork and the world famous “Creative Cupcake Contest & Community Art Project”. Then at 6:00 in the cafeteria join us for a performance of the Islander Chorus, Strings, and Recorder Club. See what talented students we have on the Island!
Volunteers please join us on Thursday, May 11th at 8:30 a.m. for our volunteer breakfast. We want to celebrate you and all the great things you do to make our school so great. Join us in the media center and let us do a little something for you!
There is only 13 days of school left. Help us to end strong. We are still learning every day!

PTAO News
Thank you so much for making Teacher Appreciation Week a success! We had several business partners donate prizes for our daily teacher/staff raffle; Coastal Foot and Ankle, Salt Life, Gypsy Cab Company, Gordon Dental, The Yoga Collective, and Mere-dith Conroy for a gift card to Hobby Lobby. The Purple Olive provided a delicious luncheon for all of our teachers on Wednesday. We need more volunteers! We have the SSRYA trip to Anastasia Bowling Lanes on May 11th that we need chaperones for and the Mega Party Monday, May 22nd. Please contact Allison Dubrow at [email protected] if you would like to help. Attention 5th Grade parents: the Fifth Grade Celebration invitations are going home this week. Please note the item that your child has volunteered to bring and send back the RSVP to your teacher. Save the Date for our final Spirit Night! Wednesday, May 17th from 11am-close, the Salt Life Food Shack (321 A1A Beach Blvd) will give R.B. Hunt a portion of all the proceeds. We will send a ticket home with your student to turn in with your check. It should be fun and the food is great!
The next day, Thursday, May 18th, is our final PTAO meeting at 8:30am. Hope you can make it.
