PROOFS 12.2

This June 2012 indexation will takeon a new dimension with the practicalapplication of genomics and the arrivalof sexed semen in its range.

PROOFS 12.2

In its new range, SERSIA is offering a total of 10 genomic bulls with the most attractive pedigrees. To meet the growing demand for sexed semen, SERSIA is launching FESTIVAL in its range, which will be frequently renewed. More generally, the June indexation brings good news for the bulls that have been widely used:

>ASTERIX remains at a very high level; his daughters on their 2nd lactation are progressing well in terms of production and levels.

> VOLTAIRE has made good progress in terms of ISU (+9) and milk with his daughters in 2nd and 3rd lactation.

The indexation has revealed two interesting new bulls to renew the range of well-established bulls:

>BINGO 138ISU>BALOU 125ISU As a result of a unique European tracking table, over 10,000 tracking initiatives have been carried out in recent years to provide even greater accuracy.

7 new headings have been added to the table that had not previously been indexed. >Chestwidth>Thurlwidth>Thurlposition

SEGMENT PERFORMANCE?

In order to bring a solution to your

expectations, SERSIA offers you a range

of “PERfoRmAncE” bulls resolutely

improved in form.

In order to achieve this result, you use bulls

bred with the milk index, without eliminating

a priori bulls weak in functional Traits or

in production. You are convinced that the

longevity of your cows is achieved through

the quality of their mammary system and

the solidity of their feet & Legs.

You wish eventually that certain among

them are distinguished by their level of

production or their results in competition.

This selection of “PERfoRmAncE” bulls

reunites the breeding cattle best able to

sustain your high level of production

SEGMENT EQUILIBRIUM?

In order to bring a solution to your

expectations, SERSIA offers you a range

of “EquILIbRIum” bulls, which are an

ideal compromise between an equilibrium

morphology and a good-performing milk

production.

for you fertility is a key element in your

choices of breeding, as are the development

of your animals and locomotion.

The “EquILIbRIum” bulls have the advan-

tage of bringing together breeding cattle

who at the same time are milk-producers

and who provide high component milk.

Another strong point in favour of this

selection of bulls is the capacity to transmit

a normal development and an increased

fertility.

One of the top bullsof his generation for production

Very positive in terms of proteinlevels and fertility

He will pass on a functionalmorphological profile

PROOF 12.2

He’s one of the most complete bulls

He combines a good milk and levels balance with an excellent body shape

The assembly is also favourablefor cells and fertility

An udder specialist, especially in the fore

udder attachment

A superb example of strong,well-balanced cows, broad at the front

and in the pelvic region

He adds a great deal to protein levels, ideal for dairy strains
