1． Fireclay Refractory

1.1Fireclay refractory brick for general use

1. Characters:

The main chemical components: Al2O3 content is 30%-48%, SiO2 content is 50%-65%, and a

small number of alkali metals, alkaline earth metal oxides, etc. Its refractoriness is

1580-1750℃, refractoriness under load is 1250-1450 ℃, line expansion coefficients is low,

with good thermal shock resistance and strong ability to resist erosion acid slag.

2. Application:

Widely used for lining of acid kiln, also used for blast furnace, hot blast furnace, glass kiln

and high temperature kiln such as carbon baking kiln.

1. Characters: Fireclay Refractory brick for blast furnace is used in the part of throat,

stack, hearth, bottom for a small blast furnace and the stack for a big blast furnace

2.The main features: High compressive strength in normal temperature, High ability for

1.3 Fireclay refractory bricks for coke oven:

1.Characters:

The refractoriness of the fireclay bricks for coke oven is usually 1580-1750 ℃, the

refractoriness under load is not less than 1300 ℃, this kind of bricks has good thermal

shock resistance, higher erosion resistance to acid slag than to alkali slag and the

reheating line change rate is not more than 1%.

2. Main applications: These fireclay refractory bricks are mainly used in low temperature

parts of the coke oven but with large temperature fluctuations, such as door, lining bricks

of small flue zone, oven head, wall bricks and checker bricks of regenerate zone.

1. Characters: The fireclay brick for glass furnace is used to masonry the clay bricks which

unit weight is more than 50kgs. They are classified as low porosity fireclay brick, super low

2.High Alumina Refractory

2.1 High alumina refractory brick for general use

1. Characters: The temperature of refractoriness under load is normally above 1420~1550℃

that is higher than the fireclay brick and it increases along with the AL2O3 content enhances.

The thermal Shock resistance is mainly decided by chemical contents and its mineral

microstructure but its thermal shock resistant is worse than the fireclay brick.It have very good

ability of anti-acidity, anti-metal fluid corrode and anti-oxidation.

2. Application: High alumina Refractory brick are used normally in industry furnaces such as

2.4. High alumina refractory brick for rotary kiln

1. Main Characters: Compared with ordinary fireclay bricks and high alumina bricks, high

alumina brick for rotary kiln have special features that are anti-wearing, anti-alkali and high

temperature resistance. In order to have these features, special high alumina brick have been

developed such as the phosphate combination of high alumina brick, phosphate bonded

anti-wearing high alumina brick, anti-spelling high alumina bricks and half -acid anti-alkali high

alumina bricks, etc.

2.5 High alumina refractory brick for coke oven

1. Main Characters: Refractoriness for the high alumina bricks for coke oven is 1750-1790℃，

refractoriness under load is normally above 1420~1550℃。 The brick has good erosion

resistance to acid and alkali slag but the thermal shock resistance it not good.

2. Applications: High alumina brick for coke oven are used in the oven head of combustion

zone, bottom of carbon zone. They can not be used in wall bricks of carbon zone.

2.6 Phosphate combined high alumina bricks

1. Characters: The aggregate of phosphate combined high aluminum brick and phosphate

combined with wear-resistant high aluminum brick is bauxite clinker, phosphoric acid and

phosphate are binders. By high-pressure forming, and heat treatment ,prodcts are Obtained.

Products of thermal shock stability, wear resistance and anti-chemical erosion are fine, but

poor performance of high temperature.

2. Applications: Phosphate combined high aluminum bricks are widely used in the rotary kiln

warm-up band, decomposed zone ,kiln door cover,and the lining of the cooler. Special

phosphate high-aluminum brick is based on combination high aluminum brick in which by

adding additives to enhance the strength of under load in high temperature. A wide range of

products for small and medium-sized wet and dry kilns such as the transitional zone, firing

zone, and other sites of the kilns, it can also be used for large-scale dry kiln of the seat belt,

door cover, cooler and so on.

1. Character: Anti -desquamate high aluminum refractory brick is based on high-class bauxite

and clinker with ZrO2 synthesis material, with a certain ratio by high-pressure forming firing

5.1 Clay insulating refractory brick

1. characters:

generally speaking, the volume density for insulation brick between 0.4-1.5 g/cm3, porosity is

from 66% to 73%, compressive strength is 1.5-8.1 MPa and thermal conductivity rate is

0.291-0.582 W / (Mk) (350 ℃ ).

5.2 High Alumina insulating brick

High refractoriness, good heat-resistant ability and the chemical stability is good under the

reducing atmosphere. The application temperature is 1350~1500℃ , and the high pure

product's application temperature may reach 1650~1800℃.

High quality of high alumina insulating brick can be used as the linings that directly contact the

fire however it cannot be used in the place where eroded by slag directly. Because the high

alumina insulating brick is of good stability under reduction condition it is widely used as the

inner insulation layer in the furnace that protected by hydrogen or carbon monoxide

atmosphere.

1. Main Characters: High refractoriness, low density, high cold crushing strength and low

thermal conductivity, make it save the industrial furnace’s energy very much.

2. Applications:

High alumina insulation brick is widely used to build the thermal insulating layers of many kilns

5.3 Diatomite insulating brick

Diatomite insulating brick is largely used in the tunnel kilns and various furnaces where the

thermal insulation is needed. Diatomite insulating brick can be formed by extrude machine and

then cut into pieces by steel wire. Diatomite insulating brick can also shaped by plastic method.

It can be cut into the exact size you need after it fired.

The clay need to be added into the raw material in order to get enough strength. In order to

improve the insulation properties of diatomaceous insulation brick, combustible ingredients are

mixed in, such as asbestos fibers, sawdust and etc. After drying, the diatomite insulation brick

is fired in the temperature between 900 to 1000℃.

6. Unshaped refractory

6.1 Fireclay mortar

Fireclay mortar is unshaped fireproof material, which is the combination of powder materials and bonding

agents. It is mainly used as the joints and coating materials in building refractory bricks, which has great

effect on the building. Fireclay mortar can adjust the tolerance of the fireclay bricks sizes and irregular

shape, make the building tidy and balance the load. Fireclay mortar also builds a strong and well-knit

entity to resist external forces, prevent the damage by intrusion of gas and molten liquid. When fireclay

mortar is used as coating, Fireclay mortar decides whether the protection layer can give full play to its

effectiveness and has a very close relationship to prolong the working life.

Fireclay mortar is used by adding water or aqueous solution. It must have well liquidity and plasticity to

facilitate the construction. It should has necessary bonding performance in the construction and after the

construction to ensure the building and ground to be a whole in order to has the ability of anti-erosion of

gas and slag; Fireclay mortar should has the same/equivalent chemical material with the building and

bottom in order to avoid earlier damage to fireclay mortar and chemical reactions between fireclay mortar

and building. It also has similar thermal expansion with the bottom and the building, so as to avoid each

other detachment and coating rupture. It should have stable volume, in order to ensure the protection and

the building integrity.

6.2 Silica mortar

Silica mortar（Siliceous mud）is the main monolithic refractories used in building carbonization

chamber of coke furnace and molten pool and roof of glass furnace etc. There are different

requirements in the physical and chemical properties to different kinds of kiln and different

parts in the kiln. For example, for Hot blast furnace the content of SiO2 should be more than 94%

and refractoriness of getting soft under load at 0.2 Mpa should be between 1600 ℃and

1620 ℃. For Glass furnace the content of SiO2 is 94% to 96% and the refractoriness of

getting soft under load at 0.2 Mpa is 1600 ~ 1620 ℃. For coke oven the content of SiO2 is 85%

- 92% and the refractoriness of getting soft under load at 0.2 Mpa is 1420 - 1500 ℃.

SK36 –SK40 high alumina bricks

1. Main Characters:

a. high refractoriness under load. The refractoriness under load is higher than fireclay bricks

and much higher of the refractoriness under load with more content of alumina.

b. Thermal shock resistance: The thermal shock resistance for the ordinary high alumina

bricks are largely depends on the mineral composition and chemistry microstructure. High

alumina bricks’ thermal shock resistance is worse than that of fireclay bricks.

c. Chemical erosion resistance: High alumina bricks have good resistance to acid, alkali slag,

erosion of liquid metal. In addition, they has good performance of oxidation reduction reaction.

7.3 Baking oven brick

Our baking oven bricks mainly include fireclay baking oven bricks-Al2O3: 38-42%. These

bricks can be also called fireclay ring bricks, fireclay circle bricks or fireclay curved bricks in

some middle-east region, such as Lebanon and West Africa. Our baking oven bricks are used

for pizza oven, pita oven or some other bakery oven. Our baking oven bricks sizes are mainly:

Ф600-800mm; Ф800-1000mm; Ф1000-1200mm; thickness: 100mm. The fireclay straight

7.4 Clay checker brick

Checker brick description

A checker brick has a plurality of walls intersecting at a plurality of spaced intersections. Four

walls extend outwardly from each intersection in equidistantly-spaced relationship to one

another. One of the four walls at each intersection is a common wall that extends between

adjacent intersections. The other three walls at each intersection are independent walls.

Mating projections and recesses are provided on the opposite surfaces of the brick at the

intersections for interlocking bricks stacked in tiers.

Checker brick character

Checker bricks for hot blast furnace have good volume stability, low creep under high

temperature, low apparent porosity and high bulk density.

Checker brick application

The checker bricks are mainly used in hot blast furnace. When hot blast is below 900℃,

checker bricks are use of clay refractory brick; if the temperature for the hot blast is above

900℃, Checker bricks is use of high alumina brick, mullite brick, silicon brick and etc.
