These sealed-combustion water heaters can be installed virtually anywhere because the fuel circuit is sealed and separated fromthe room where they are located. The fan-forced-draught enables the simultaneous suctioning of the combustion air with exhaustof the by-products of combustion outside the room, even without a fl ue or a chimney.The equipment is fi tted with an electrical gas valve and electronic ignition with ionisation fl ame control. The various functionsare controlled and handled by an electronic switchboard. This system is designed to “clean” the fuel combustion chamber withfresh air before every burner ignition. This process prevents any gas residue (especially in the event of liquefi ed gas) from causingpotentially hazardous situations.A differential pressure switch guarantees the immediate blockage of the gas fl ow and shuts off the burner in case of a badworking operation of the exhaust fume fan or of any other anomalous exhaust operation. Ignition can be programmed by usingthe weekly timer.The equipment is fi tted with a double thermostat (operation and safety).

IMPORTANT: EXTRACTION AND EXHAUST KIT TO BE ORDERED WITH THE WATER HEATER

Fumes are exhausted and air is vented by through a kit, which has been especially designed andtested for our equipment. Available in coaxial version (horizontal or vertical) or in split horizontalversion. On request are also available 90° curves and 1 meter extensions that allow to fi t the kitaccording to every kind of installation .

Safety valve: Since water is incompressible and at high temperature it in-creases its volume, it is necessary to provide a suitable expansion system,in order to avoid irreparable damages to the tank. We recommend provi-de for an expansion system with a safety valve, whose diameter should becalculated according to the following formula:

NOTE: Setting pressure of the safety valve must not be higher than wor-king pressure of the water heater.

Expansion tank: In order to avoid frequent drains from the safety valve,as well as continuous and dangerous stresses to the water heater, it is use-ful to install an expansion tank, fi tted with a non toxic bladder (alimentary).As far as dimensioning is concerned, we recommend an expansion tank,whose capacity is at least equal to the 10% of the water heater capacity.Water hammering: Any brusque or sudden stops in the water fl ow couldcause “PRESSURE WAVES” which may cause serious damage and /orbreakage; therefore all cold and hot water systems must have mechanical(spring) shock-absorbers against water hammering, or better hydro pneu-matic ones.

Electrical protectionIn order to guarantee the user’s safety and to avoid possible wrong currents, CORRECT GROUNDING of electric Masses and of foreign Masses is to beperformed.

Cathodic protectionagainst corrosion

Modern research has proved that CORROSION is an electrical, or more exactly,

an electrochemical phenomenon. This phenomenon concerns particularly

water heaters since they are containers of continuously renewed water, whose

aggressivenesses increases with correspondent increase of temperature(especially

when it rises over 55÷60°C). CATHODIC PROTECTION is based on principle that

corrosion takes place only in the ANODIC AREAS and not in the CATHODIC

ones.

In order to have a cathodic protection even in the minimum COATING

IMPERFECTIONS of the water heater, one or more sacrifi cial MAGNESIUM

ANODES are installed. Through the consumption of the anode and the production

of a low-tension current, the tank and the heat exchanger are effi caciously

protected against corrosion.

Our anodes are made of a special AZ 63 Magnesium alloy, which guarantees

PHYSIOLOGICAL INNOCUOUSNESS, ELECTRODE POTENTIAL ( -0,9V) and

MASS LOSS RATE ( 30 • m-2 • d-1) according to DIN 4753-6.

SmaltoPLAST® is a thermoplastic material specifi cally designed to provide a long-lasting corrosion-proof coating on steel.The use of SmaltoPLAST®, in addition to water with suitable physical-chemical characteristics (i.e. does not cause scaling and is not aggressive) and the installation of magnesium or Correx anodes, guarantees the protection of the water heater against corrosion.It is recommended to not exceed a temperature of 60°C so as to ensure the correct operation of the appliance and its effi ciency over time.

The warranties contained in this catalogue are offered according to the terms described for each item and cover only PERFORATION FROM ELECTROCHEMICAL CORROSION and are valid only for properly coated surfaces with particular reference to those in con-tact with Domestic Hot Water. Nevertheless, the above mentioned warranties fail in the following cases:a) The equipment is not provided with effi cient and permanent ca-

thodic protection, with which it is normally endowed.b) Quality requisites of potable water supply do not comply with

DLgs 31/01 in accordance with Directive n.98/83/EEC, and in particular are are not in conformity with the following parame-ters:

c) When disassembling the heat exchanger (copper or stainless ste-el) for cleaning or periodical servicing, it is reassembled without checking that the exchanger and the tank are ELECTRICALLY INSULATED, as per original arrangement and checking in our factory. We remind that electrochemical corrosion is quite ag-gressive in case of contact between metals with different nobility degree when deepened in the same electrolyte.

d) The maximum working temperature allowed for each water hea-ter is not respected. We remind that water aggressiveness highly increases with correspondent increase of temperature, in parti-cular when temperature rises over 60°C.

(*) Maximum admissible value for stainless steel products.(**) In addition to fulfi lment of sanitary measures, water must be balanced (neither hard, nor corrosive) according to TILLMANN’s diagram.

However, prescribed water treatments cannot prevent its alimentary use and must be effected with proper equipments; in case of water softening or desalination total hardness cannot be lower than 15°F.

tee against corrosion is vitreous enamel.

The enamel, fi red in large furnaces at

over 800 °C, differs from paints due to

its strictly inorganic chemical composi-

tion (no carbon) and its chemical bonds.

Hot-dip galvanisation is performed by

deepping the tank into a bath of molten

zinc at a temperature of around 450°C.

Galvanization offers dual protection,

thanks to the barrier effect of the surface

layer of Zn and its alloys, around 80-100

microns thick, which also isolates the

steel against external elements.

The general factors that lead to corrosion

are negligible in water heaters made from

stainless steel, however in certain condi-

tions the presence of chlorides is the main

cause of pitting corrosion. To prevent this

risk, our water heaters are manufactured

using special types of low carbon stainless

steel, such as AISI 316L and, for very cor-

rosive water, AISI 316 Ti (with Titanim).

PRICE1. This catalogue replaces and cancels all previous editions.

ORDER2. All orders are subject to approval by our Company.3. By placing an order the Customer acknowledges having

read and accepted our “General Conditions of Sale”, as well as knowing and approving all the technical data and characteristics of our products as shown in the correspon-ding illustrations. Furthermore our Company reserves the right to improve its products without prior notice; such changes shall not oblige the company to modify contracts and/or orders.

4. A placed order binds the Customer and cannot be changed or cancelled without the consent of our Company.

5. All orders, even if confi rmed, are considered as accepted with the right to total or partial cancellation depending on the supply of raw materials or due to force majeure or other unforeseen causes.

DELIVERY6. Delivery time is indicative, and not binding for our Com-

pany. Delays or partial deliveries do not give the Customer the right to cancel the order, to claim for damages and/or to suspend payments.

7. The delivery date is the date on which the goods leave our premises.

8. All our products are sold ex works and with our standard packing: consequently transport and different type of pa-cking costs are borne by the Customer.

COMPLAINTS9. Complaints shall not be accepted if not made upon receipt

of the goods and must in any case be made within and not later than the terms specifi ed by law.

10. Any damage caused by transport must be notifi ed directly to the carrier and to us in copy within eight days from the delivery by means of registered letter.

11. Returned goods shall not be accepted without our prior appro-val; in any case transport costs will be borne by the customer.

12. Complaints in progress do not give the right to suspend payments.

13. In the event of certifi ed defects of the product, our Company shall replace or repair, at its own indisputable discretion, the faulty product or elements of the product itself; beside from this, the Customer cannot lay further claims.

WARRANTY14. The warranties contained in this catalogue are offered by our

Company according to the terms described for each product and only cover perforation from electrochemical corrosion; for any other warranty (of manufacturing, defects) the provi-sions of the Italian Civil Code shall be applied.

All warranties shall be invalidated if all the instructions re-ported in our drawings, servicing manuals and technical sheets, are not strictly observed or if relevant provisions of the law or specifi c technical standards are not met.

Furthermore, evidence of un-authorised repairs, tampering with the product, use of non-original parts or accessories, shall automatically invalidate the warranty.

INSPECTIONS15. Inspections by our technical personnel can be corried out

only if express demanded by the Customer; in any case the service shall be invoiced.

PAYMENTS16. Payment of invoices shall be made to our Head Offi ce in

Rovigo according to the terms reported in the invoice.17. Non-payments give us the right to suspend further deliveries

of material.18. Delayed payments shall be debited with the current rate of

bank interest.

DISPUTES19. For all legal purposes Rovigo shall be the place of jurisdiction.
