SCIWARE SYSTEMS, S.L. is an innovative spin-off focused on the area of Analytical Chemistry and especially in the environmental field. It was created by the Group of Analytical Chemistry, Automa-tion and Environment of the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB). The company is also linked to the Laboratory of Environmental Analytical Chemistry and the Laboratory of Environmental Radioacti-vity, all of them from the UIB.
The main activity of SCIWARE SYSTEMS, S.L. is the design, develop-ment, production and sale of innovative scientific instrumentation for laboratory automation. For this purpose, SCIWARE SYSTEMS, S.L. has a team expert in the development of devices for laboratory automation. This guarantees the production of instruments of high quality and systems with a high added value. Some of these products are unique in the market.
Additionally, we make consulting about analytical issues related with the Environment, including expertise reports. Also, we offer analytical assays services, fundamentally applied to environmental parameters determination.

AutoAnalysis is a very versatile and robust software, produced and commercialized by Sciware Systems that allows the coupling and automa-tic control of a large number of equipments, devices, detectors and instruments from different brands. This software is based on a dynamic link libraries (DLL) system for coupling and controlling these equipments allowing also data processing, and the development of smart systems. This software has been designed to be applied mainly in analytical applications, however it can be used to automate other laboratory assays, e.g. pH regulation in bioreactors, monitoring of industrial processes.

The dynamic link library (DLL) system allows computerized control of a wide variety of devices and instruments facilitating their implementation in automatic flow systems. It also permits devices and instruments connection with other equipments, such as inductive coupled plasma, optic or mass spectrometers (ICP-OES or -MS), Gas Chromatographs- Mass Spectrosmeters (CG/MS), High Performances Liquid Chromatographs (HPLC), etc.

Sciware Systems SL has developed several instruments which can be implemented in different customized flow systems, including platforms for multipumping and multicommutated flow analysis systems, stand alone pumping systems, selection and/or injection valves modules, detectors, current converters, etc. Sciware Systems is also a distributor of Crison Instruments and also commercializes devices produced by other companys.
Sciware Systems SL commercializes a platform which can control from 8 to 24 micropumps or solenoid valves. This Multicommutated Flow Injection/Multipumping System, has an internal power supply and can be connected to a PC through an RS232 or USB cable. This instrument can be applied for both Multicommutated Flow Injection Analysis and Multipumping Flow Systems.
Sciware Systems SL also provides a platform especially designed to connect 4 solenoid valves to the 4 additional outputs of the multisyringe burette 4S.
Small protector circuits for solenoid valves and micropumps platforms are also available. There are two different stand-alone circuits for controlling micropumps available.

Sciware Systems SL produces injection and selection valve modules with different port numbers for low and high pressure systems, i.e. coupled to HPLC. The front of these valves can be replaced by a Lab-on-Valve or a Chip-on-Valve device, check available designs and don’t hesitate to ask for a new one. These modules can work independently or coupled with other flow equipments and detectors. These include a power supply and USB PC connection cables.

Sciware Systems SL produces different spectrophotometric detectors, and also commercializes from other companies. These detectors can be coupled to other equipments and are PC controlled by AutoAnalysis. Sciware systems has developed an analogic/digital and digital/analogic conversor (A/D-D/A), with USB connection which allows data acquisition from all instruments with a recorder output facilitating at the same time data digitalization with homemade detectors. The company has also developed an interface to control other equipments such as GC-MS, ICP-MS, HPLC, FAAS, etc. through the multisyringe.

One of the objectives of Sciware Systems is to provide devices allowing highly customized, compact and miniaturized flow systems. Cuvette holdersSciware Systems offers spectrophotometric flow cell cuvette holders, with different designs and materials. These cuvette holders allow the easy coupling between the light source, the flow cell and the detector.
