• Very handy and versatile system for the application of cervical matrices on class V cavities• For aesthetically optimal fi llings, with smooth and uniform surface• Reduced fi nishing time• Two matrices in one• Unique kit with two positioners: short for the anterior, long for the posterior teeth.

Cervical FormerCervical matrix system, ideal for class V restorations Cervical Former is a practical and effi cient system for class V restorations. These cervical matrices have ends of different shapes, suitable for creating any type of restoration on the neck of the tooth. They are fl exible, so they bend along the vertical axis for insertion into the instrument provided in the kit, but they retain the rigidity necessary to exercise the proper pressure on the material during polymerization. These cervical matrices fi t perfectly to the neck of the tooth to achieve homogeneous ap-plication of the composite without waste, air bubbles or porosi-ties and with an aesthetically fl awless fi nal surface. Made of transparent polyester, they protect the tooth from moisture, do not adhere to the material used and are compatible with any type of composite. Moreover, in order to optimally match to the needs of the dentist and the case to be treated, the matrices can be formed with scissors. For cervical restorations on the anterior teeth the short posi-tioner is available, while cervical restorations in the posterior areas are easy to make with the help of the specifi cally devel-oped long positioner.

Dispens-O-Mat PosteriorFor restorations with light-cured composite in the posterior areas

The auto-adhesive transparent Dispens-O-Mat ma-trices for premolars and molars are particularly thin and suitable for all light-cured composite restora-tions in the posterior areas and in the placement of inlays. Thanks to their self-adhesive ends, it is no longer necessary to use a conventional matrix re-tainer which might obstruct the transmission of light, especially in the reconstruction of cusps of posterior teeth. The matrix can be placed both on the buccal and the lingual side. Correctly positioned and fi xed with transparent wedges (such as our The Wedge), the matrix guarantees optimal light-curing of all surfaces, including the approximal-cervical ones. In order to allow for perfect fi tting of the matrix to the dental anatomy, the auto-adhesive Dispens-O-Mat Bicuspid and Molar matrices are available in 3 differ-ent heights: 6 mm, 7 mm and 8 mm.

Dispens-O-Mat AnteriorFor class III anterior restorations

The auto-adhesive Dispens-O-Mat Anterior matrices, very thin (0.05 mm) and transparent, are indicated for restorations with all types of self- and light-cur-ing composite. It is no longer necessary to hold the matrix in position with your fi ngers or special twee-zers. Available in 3 different heights: 6 mm, 7 mm and 8 mm.

Dispens-O-Mat IncisalFor Class IV restorations of anteriorteeth

The auto-adhesive Dispens-O-Mat Incisal matrices allow for swifter and more cost-effective restora-tion of angles and crowns of anterior teeth that have suffered extended fracture. These transparent and thin (0.05 mm) matrices allow to create fi llings with smooth and uniform surfaces, as well as optimal points of contact with the adjacent teeth. The time for fi nishing and polishing is considerably reduced since the composite will not overfl ow or run out dur-ing the treatment.

Quickmat DeluxeSectional matrix system for perfect class II restorations

Quickmat Deluxe is the sectional matrix system that allows to create perfect, extremely precise and anatomically correct contact points in class II restorations. The system is characterized by its simplicity and ease of use; one single type of universal ring is compatible with all clinical applications. Contoured sectional matrices fi t perfectly to the contact area of the adjacent tooth and completely surround the cervical shoulder, thanks to the action of interdental wood wedges. The Quick rings, distinguished by their elasticity, ensure perfect adaptation of the matrix to the anatomy of the tooth and are also autoclavable at 134 °C.

Polydentia has expanded its range of matrices and accessories, offering a complete system to meet every need in posterior restorations. • Quick rings: Made of stainless steel and autoclavable at 134 °C, they guarantee perfect fi tting of the matrix to the tooth. Moreover, these rings are very handy for the reconstruction of MOD cavities thanks to the special angulation of the ends which allows for easy stacking of two Quick rings.

• NEW Re-Force insert for Quick rings: Once placed upon the ring, it allows to increase the separation force exerted on the teeth. The insert is made of high-tech materials and can be sterilized in an autoclave at 134 °C. Its form confers more stiffness upon the ring: the dentist can therefore choose whether to carry out the separation using wedges and/or reinforced rings, with the insert applied. This ensures the creation of perfect contact points and greater fl exibility of work, since a single movement allows to increase or decrease the rigidity of the ring. • NEW Delta silicone tubes: Particularly suitable in case of veryextensive cavities. Applied to both ends of the Quick ring, they perfectly fi t to the convexity of the teeth thanks to their innovative triangular shape, facilitating adhesion and adaptation of the matrix.

• Silicone tubes (cylindrical): In the presence of large ca-vities, they are applied to the ends of the Quick ring in order to increase their adhesion to the matrix and to prevent them from sinking too deeply into the interproximal space.

• Thin (0.04 mm) and microthin (0.025 mm) contoured sectional matrices: With anatomical form and easy to burnish. In the case of serrated interdental spaces, the microthin versionallows to obtain very tight contact points with an ideal mor-pho logy.

• Contoured matrices with special extension: Allow to achieve perfect anatomical contours and consistently tight proximal contacts in subgingival restorations and extended cervical preparations.

• Provides tight approximal contacts in posterior composite restorations• NEW: Re-Force insert allows to increase the separation force of the ring• The only one available with Delta silicone tubes to place over the tines• Sectional matrices with extension for subgingival preparations• Transparent sectional matrices for complete polymerization• Quick rings can be superimposed in case of MOD cavities• Compatible with any standard rubber dam clamp forceps

Maximat PlusTM

Fast and simple restorations thanks to the ergonomic tensioning instrument

Maximat Plus is the universal system by Polydentia for tightening steel or plastic matrices in the posterior region. Thanks to Maximat Plus, conventional retainers are no longer needed. The procedure is very simple and quick: the matrix, once positioned on the tooth, can be tightened with just one hand, thanks to the ergonomic instrument. The entire tightening process can be monitored with precision by the dentist. After fi xing the matrix in place, the tightening instrument can be removed. Furthermore, during treatment, only the spool remains in the mouth, ensuring better visibility of the area during fi lling and light curing. This adds comfort for both the dentist and the patient. Moreover, being small in size, the spool does not interfere with wedging. Maximat Plus eliminates the leverage effect and consequent distortion of the approximal surfaces that come with conventional retainers, thus allowing the restoration of a precise and anatomically correct contact point. In addition, Maximat Plus system allows for several fi llings to be made at the same time, in the same quadrant.Once treatment is fi nished, the matrix is removed by simply reinserting the tightening instrument. All traditional matrices for the posterior region can be used with Maximat Plus, provided they have a maximum height of 7 mm.

The fi xing instrument, made of high tech polymers and stainless steel, is able to withstand temperatures of above 134 °C, which permits autoclaving. Recently Polydentia has developed new anatomically-shaped spools which allow for better adjustment and perfect matrix-to-tooth adhesion. Thanks to the technical and mechanical characteristics of the material, the new spools guarantee greater resistance and better stability.

The Maximat Plus kit from Polydentia now features:a) pre-loaded single use spools (new anatomic shape), that allow the dentist to obtain quick, optimum results

b) new empty spools autoclavable at 134 °C, which can be reused and are therefore more economically and ecologically sound.

THE SAME, LONG-STANDING BENEFITS...• Eliminates the need for a conventional matrix retainer• Only the matrix spool remains in the mouth during treatment: no lever action and greater patient comfort• Fast and easy application• Tightening of the matrix can be performed only with one hand• Better overview during the fi lling phase• Several fi llings can be placed simultaneously in the same quadrant• Pre-loaded matrices save time• Optimum contact points with the wedges included in the kit• Versatile: the system can be used with any type of matrices up to 7 mm height

…COMBINED WITH NEWER ONES:• Unique system with autoclavable spools• Anatomically-shaped spools• Better adjustment and adhesion to the tooth• Increased resistance and stability of the spool• Option to choose between two different spools contained in the kit: a) Pre-loaded disposable, to save time; b) Autoclavable and reusable, more economically and ecologically sound

CorematMulti-sized matrices for core build-up

The Coremat multi-sized matrices, designed to make core build-up technique faster and easier, are versatile: they can be used on both anterior and posterior teeth. Coremat eliminates cross-contamination possible with trial-and-error fi tting of individually sized forms.Made of transparent polyester, Coremat is compatible with compos-ites, glass ionomers, pattern acrylic or softened wax. Application is ex-tremely simple: cut the matrix at the desired diameter to fi t the tooth’s gingival contour. Fill the matrix with material of choice for build-ups (for example composite, glass ionomer cements).Seat the matrix on the tooth and hold in place with moderate pressure until complete set occurs, in order to produce a dense, void-free core. When using light-cured composite materials, take care to polymerize all build-up’s surfaces.Remove matrix from set material and complete the preparation.

Polydentia GF Posts White opaque posts with 80% glass fi bers: strength, reliability and highest aesthetics

Polydentia GF Posts provide an excellent alternative to metal posts, and are the ideal solution for aesthetic restorations on both anterior and posterior teeth. The post consists of a large number of unidirectional, individual glass fi bers (diameter: 20 μm), embedded in a polyester resin matrix (a ma-terial especially appreciated for its allergy safety). The parallel, longi-tudinal fi bers reinforce the post’s structure and enhance its fl exibility. The glass fi ber post can be easily shortened at the required length; nevertheless, it is recommended to section the post perpendicularly to its long axis by using a medium or coarse diamond bur or separating disc, in order to prevent fraying of the micro-fi bers. The white, opaque color of Polydentia GF Posts ensures excellent aes-thetic results, without undesirable coloring in the cervical area of the tooth. If endodontic retreatment becomes necessary, the post can be easily removed by drilling, despite its high mechanical strength provided by the parallel fi ber structure. Any commercial fi ber post removal kit can be used.

The full length of the Polydentia GF Posts is 20 mm (.78”). These posts are available in four different sizes: 1.1-1.3 - 1.5 -1.7 mm (.043” - .051” - .059” - .067”) diameter.

The GF Posts Kits include matching drills (1.1-1.3-1.5-1.7 mm) which ensure a perfect placing of the post. The drills are also available sepa-rately as refi lls.

Mechanical properties:The elasticity modulus of glass fi ber posts is 42 GPa, which is very close to that of dentine – allowing a regulation of applied forces by redistributing them throughout all the dentine components. In contrast to this, metal posts have an elasticity modulus of 210 GPa, titanium posts 110 GPa, gold 77 GPa and zirconium dioxide 200 GPa. Glass fi ber posts possess a very high mechanical resistance to compression (650 MPa). In addition, the stability of the post-and-core restorations is also increased by the high fl exural strength (1500 MPa) of the post.

YOUR OPINIONS:

DR. G. DERCHI, DDS La Spezia - Italy

I have been using glass-fi bers for years, for various treatments. Fiber-Splint ML Multi Layer provides excellent usability and reli-ability for the splinting of provisional crowns or extracted teeth (in cases of post-extrac-tive implantology) […], ensuring comfort and aesthetic results to the patients, and preserv-ing the soft tissues, for a better healing.

DR. MAHESH CHAUHAN, BDS New Delhi – India

With Fiber-Splint the dentist can quickly sta-bilize mobile anterior teeth, with long-term reliability. It grants high esthetic results and enhances patient’s self confi dence.

PROF. DR. ALFREDO BASS Córdoba – Argentina

Results after the use of Fiber-Splint have been very satisfying and stable over time. For post-orthodontic retainer the 2 mm band is more adequate and easier to apply.

Fiber-SplintTM Lab SystemA new way to reinforce dental resins

The Fiber-Splint Lab System provides the dental technician with a cost-saving new system based on glass fi ber technology, for the fabrication of bridges with strong and biocompatible frameworks, the reinforcement of vulnerable areas of new and existing dentures, or the repair of dentures. Instead of conventional reinforcement using steel wire and metal gauze, the Fiber-Splint Lab System utilizes multiple layer silanised fi ber-glass strips, which are easy, cost-effective, and quick to work with. The silanisation of the fi ber-glass strips cre-ates an excellent bond with the resin. Superior aesthetic results can be achieved with the use of the Fiber-Splint Lab System since the fi ber-glass strips are almost invisible under the resin and do not show through. The basic technology used for Fiber-Splint has been proven in dental practices for nearly two decades in the splinting of loose anterior teeth and the reimplantation of extracted or totally lux-ated teeth.

THE FIBER-SPLINT LAB SYSTEM IS RECOMMENDED IN DENTAL LABORATORIES FOR:

• Temporary restorations on implant abutments• Internal frameworks for bridges• External frameworks for adhesive bridges• Reinforcement of new full or partial dentures• Retention of single teeth in temporary wire braces• All types of reinforcement of splits or breaks and thin,

vulnerable parts of dentures
