1. The part easily be damaged on the sling is the con-nected part with the rope and hooks, links or shackles, which can be protected by the sleeve.

2.When the wire rope sling used over the corner or tip parts, the wire rope will break and the core will appear, to protect them please use the protective corner.

3. As mormally, if the customers do not have require, the nature eye length is 2 times of the eye width, if the width much too large, the aluminium ferrule will be break off when it is loading weight, it will be very dangerous. It sould make the rope rack longer, it is better that the eye lenght is not less tahn 3 times to the eye width.

4. Before using the sling, it should have a test (when having the test, the distance of the loaded goods from the ground is less than 200mm), the choice for the liftin point should be on the same line with the center of gravity. 5. Wire rope slin loading intensity factor the map of the lifting angle is following:

Operation guide

1. Befor using, we should know the WLL and scope of application. Over loading is not al-lowed.2. The lifting angle is the key point to influence the WLL under normal situation. The angle in dashed area of the picture should not be bigger than 120 degrees, otherwise part of the chain slin will be over loaded.

3. Unavailabel connector between the chains is not allowed.

4.The lifting chain should not be hung directly or enwindto the lifting hook of the crane.

5.When chain slings enwind the lifted object, please lay some padson the corner to avoid damaging of the chain and lifted object.

6. Temperature can effect the using of the chain slings:

Temperature WLL under the temperature

-40 ºC - 200 ºC 100% WLL

200 ºC - 300 ºC 90% WLL

300 ºC - 400 ºC 75% WLL

400 ºC - peste 400 ºC Nu permite

7. The hoisting point of the lifting hook of the crane should be in thesame line of the lifted object, thus the stressed area keep balance toavoid slipping and overturning.8. Torsion, tortuosity, knot are not allowed between links.9. When lifting the heavy object, up, down and stopping slowlyand stady. Be sure to keep the cg of the lifted object and avoid im-pacting loading WLL. Hanging heavy lifted object in the sling chain for a long time.

10. One leg chain sling and multi legs chain sling can be usedas choker chain sling when ther is not suitable lifting hook, lug and link. IfIf the lifted objectis bulk cargo such as tube and log , we can use the chain enwind one more lap. 11. We should be careful when taking and laying the chain slings.Koncking the chain slings or drawing the sling the sling on the ground 12. The chain sling should be cleaned and tested after using. We should put it in the appropriative shelf rather than the ground.13. Don’t attempt to pull the chain sling from the lifted object or roll the lifted object on the chains.

1 The dia of the link is frayed to be 90% ofnormal state, that means the dia is frayedby 10%, now we should change the part or stop using.

2 The outside lenght of the chain increased by 5%, now we should change the part or stop.

3 . Eyes or other examening equipments find the welding gap of the link or otherdestroyes chains, we shoul change the part or stop using..

4. Contoring, badly corrosion and begriming can not be removed, or the dangerrous cross section of the fittings reduceby 10%.5. The pich of singel link streched 3% or more, pich of double link stretched 5% or more.6. Stop using when the chain slings destroyed by heat source.

Matallurgy clamps usage method and attention

1. Metallurgical Clamps (clamps) to hold the objects’ hanged on the clamp through openong and closing the mechanical lever under theoutside force. its is characteristics are simple structuri, flexible action, lifting reliable.2. Working principle (Mechanically)The lifting crane hang over the link of th clamp, when the clamp lift, tapered ned of start and stop setup in the start and stop seat, verticality, taped ned hang over starting and stopping seat, clamp go up home position of the top of bilet then go down, when the suporting plate come into contact with billet, travelling crane’s lifting hook go down, connecting rod, beam also go down, tapered ned connect to motherboard of start and close seat, because of tapered ned respect oneself, 90 degree in start and close seat, hook of travelling crane going up,pincers teeth clamp bullet. Through go up and horizontal move, arrive to the top of point.Hook of travelling crane go down, the lift goods come contact other object (or floor), then it can not go down, at that time jaw openbillet loosen. Travelling crane continu go down, angular separation of connect rod become bigger tapered ned also go down to start come connect to the bottom of it, verticality. Lifting hook of chain block go up, hanger lift, horizontal move to original point, then fhinish the circle.

3. The design of clam and test Standards is working load and applicability range. Strictly no overweight.

4. Clamps avoid lash and crash, or it should be check all the parts of clamp, and after the confirmetion from safety test deparment, there is not satety problem, then it can continu to use.

5. Do not cancel or add any parts,or cutting and jointing on theclamp.6. When the clamp, strictly no per-son below the clamp.

7. Inclined to lift the object is the main reason for damageand there are safety issues. During use, should we keep object suspended in normal position (horizontal), and not inclined.8. If you need repair, they will f made only after the clip was placed on a flat surface.9. After use, be placed on a flat surface or a console.

75

Page 76: Catalog Prolift 2010 En

The correct and reasonable usage of the type C clamps will assure of the safe operation and extend its life. Please pay attention the followings:

1. Use the C type clamp, first learn the saftey operation specification.2. No overload. Make sure balance loading when lifting.3. Befor the use, check the whole surface of clamp if there is jointing open, parts distortion, crakt and so on.4. Do not change the construction, add or reduce the parts.5. Control the lift speed, prevent moving or swivel during lifting. 6. Clamp should keep the load through the lift ear, the meatus should be a little higher, avocd the lift coil come out.7. When lift the steel coil or aluminium coil, the intine should be connected with the flank of lift coil, lifting point should remove 30-80mm to the intine of steel coil, the tine an not overload.

8. Traveling crane should keep continue, balance, avoid the lift coil fal-down, and avoid the shock of clamp.9. Keep the environment dry, no corrosion, if the print fall down it should be printed again.10. Before the use, check the parts if there is defect.11. Use the C type clamps, it must be handled by the special operator, he should learn all safety operation specification, use the correct method.

Safety inspection of metalurgic clamp

1. Please check the clamp before use, if the clamp has the crack, jointing open, please tell the safe department to check. 2. Monthly inspection.Safety director on spot should check in record test per month, make sure all the parts according to sefty standard, and make a note.3. Yearly inspectionPlease check the condition.

If the metallurgy clamp has one of these problems, please replece parts or reject:

1. Any parts of the clamp have a crack.2. Some parts break, is should be changed or rejected.3. The main parts are open or distortion.
