All activities that direct the flow of goods and services fromproducer to customer are classified as marketing concerns.
Essential to all businesses are customer identification and creating
the offering to respond to the customer. This requires
consideration of research, product design, packaging, pricing,
distribution channels, marketing communications, selling, and
service.
The concentration in marketing is designed to familiarize
students with the marketing process and to give them thetheoretical concepts, skills, and tools to enter and to advance
successfully in any one of many possible career paths in marketing
research, marketing communications, retail management, or sales
management.
