NIKE European Operations Netherlands
uses a new analytical system to manageits business in the Czech Republic and
Slovakia
The new Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse system with the code name
ARIS (Analytical and Reporting Information System) provides NIKE with complex
information on the sales of Nikes products by providing links to retailer data, covering
the fields of reporting, scorecarding, ad hoc analysis and budgeting.
Customer Profile
Nike Inc.,headquartered in Beaverton, Oregon, USA, is the worlds biggest designer, reseller and
distributor of sports shoes, clothes, equipment and accessories for a wide range of sports and
motion activities. Companies owned by Nike include Converse Inc., Bauer NIKE Hockey Inc.,
Cole Haan and Hurley International LLC.
In the Czech Republic and Slovakia Nike operates under the name NIKE European Operations
Netherlands B.V. Nike, as a wholesale company, delivers its goods to a wide range of business
partners.
Situation
NIKE European Operations Netherlands was looking for a solution which would enable
automatic processing of current sales data from its business partners, as well as generate
reports and analyses to help in managing its business operations and improving business
partner relationships.

The goal of the project was the implementation of a system that would enable:
