Task 1: Job applicationJYSK has decided to employ a new shop assistant. You have just finished your education at Learnmark Horsens, and you decide to apply for the following position by writing an application and a CV in English.

Task 2: Company Presentation JYSK would like to create some publicity. JYSK decides to do that by contacting various British magazines. One of them is “Beautiful Kitchens” http://www.housetohome.co.uk/beautifulkitchens . “Beautiful Kitchens” is interested in making an issue of their magazine with the theme ”Danish Design”. A journalist would like to come and make an interview about JYSK.

Your boss has now asked you to prepare a presentation of JYSK. The presentation may include the following points:

Task 3: Business letter – an enquiry

At the recent trade fair in China your manager had a meeting with Ms. My Linh from the Viet-namese company, Vietnam Garden, which produces wooden garden furniture. JYSK needs a new supplier and therefore you have been asked to write an enquiry to the company. In your letter you should ask for prices and general terms of delivery and payment.

Write a letter with the enquiry to the Vietnamese supplier.

The letter should be of about one A4 page in length. Use today’s date and sign with your own name.

Task 4: Advertisement

The manager has asked you to make a suggestion for an advertisement suitable for the social media such as Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter. The advertisement is part of the upcoming spring sale.

Work out an advertisement for garden furniture.

At the exam:

Show the advertisement and explain the message of the advertisement.

Explain the AIDA model and how you have used it.

Present your target group and give reasons for your choice.

Task 5: London

Your friends are visiting you in London. You have the day off so of course you start planning a one-day sightseeing tour for your guests including lunch.

Make a schedule for a one-day sightseeing tour in London for your guests. The tour should include at least four sights.

At the exam:

Present the tour telling about the sights and the reasons for your choices.
