The Challenge 

W.J. Meade wanted to implement an organisation-wide policy of one machine per desk across all 16 office locations. The Enfield head office would connect to all the branch offices over the Internet using VPN to take timely and quick decisions to keep pace in the fast moving market.

To ensure that all internet access was productive, a strong perimeter defence was required to protect against downloading of gadget programs, spyware and malware from the web. W.J Meade needed a Unified solution that met it’s business security, productivity and connectivity requirements and is easy to configure and affordable to maintain.”

Cyberoam Solution:

After evaluating all possible solutions, W.J Meade decided to deploy a Cyberoam UTM.

It was apparent that most solutions provided technical assistance only during the normal office hours and at times the configuration access to the appliance was restricted to the vendor employees only. The company needed a solution that gave transparent technical assistance and knowledge transfer empowering it to make configuration changes as requested with out having to rely on the manufacturer. Cyberoam has a robust architecture, purpose built hardware and round the clock technical assistance.”

W.J. Meade deployed One CR50i at their Head Office and Fifteen CR25i appliances at it’s branch offices. All the appliances were deployed in the gateway mode and connected by Cyberoam’s Checkmark certified Site-to-Site VPN over the internet. Cyberoam’s VPN Failover feature keeps all the sites connected to guarantee total business connectivity. Driven by the business need of inter-office connectivity over the internet, W.J Meade’s head office has two ISP links. Cyberoam’s Multi-Link Manager intelligently load balances the traffic and manages link failover between the ADSL and CABLE WAN link. The Bandwidth Management feature provides policy-based control over the bandwidth.

Cyberoam’s Checkmark and ICSA Certified firewall secures the perimeter for the organisation. It also protects the database servers at all the Branch Offices and the multiple servers at the head office.
