Challenge The pharmaceutical company conducts approximately 1,000 background screenings per year in the UK. Managing this high volume of screenings is challenging and a large number of checks were delayed in fulfilment, the turnaround time was lengthy and the HR team struggled to provide a smooth candidate experience. HireRight enabled the pharmaceutical company to increase the number of checks being fulfilled prior to onboarding, reducing the risk of starting candidates that had not been fully screened. Extensive work went into redesigning the packages to streamline and optimise the background screening process, which resulted in decreasing the number of packages.

Moving to the HireRight Global platform lead to a reduction in minutes for a candidate to fill out forms and the need for a candidate to participate in multiple calls and emails, providing ease of use to the applicant.

ResultsHireRight, in partnership with the pharmaceutical company, was able to help improve efficiencies, which resulted in creating a better experience for candidates undergoing background screening.

HireRight eliminated the number of cases delayed in fulfilment from an average of 12 per month to zero and reduced the turnaround time from 15 to 10 days.

By reworking packages, HireRight decreased the number of packages used for one country from 15 to 6.

The average time it took candidates to complete forms decreased from 2.5 calendar days to 1.4 days.
