Ryan Butterwick – Captain United StatesRyan was raised in the mountains of Colorado and is an avid outdoors enthusiast. He grew up skiing,hunting, horseback riding, golfing, fishing, sailing and diving. Whenever he gets a chance, you will find(or not find) him in the woods bow hunting. Ryan moved to the Cayman Islands in the early 90’s andspent a year as a SCUBA instructor before leaving to work and travel extensively around the globe.Ryan has been onboard M/Y Carpe Diem for just over six years and truly loves his job. Ryan holds a1600 ton USCG masters license and is a certified PADI SCUBA instructor. He is always excited to sharehis passion for the sea and warmly welcomes you aboard “Carpe Diem”.

Jason Avakian – Chef United StatesJason was born in Santa Barbara, California but moved “down island” at a young age so his fathercould pursue teaching medicine in the Caribbean. Jason completed an AOS degree in Culinary Arts atthe California Culinary Academy in 1997. Since then, he has logged more than 100 weeks experienceas a charter yacht chef and more than 50,000 miles in yacht deliveries. Although classically trained,his cooking now takes in the influences of the many cultures he has encountered on his travels. Hetakes pride in using only the very highest quality of produce, meat, poultry and seafood.

Mike Lewis - First Mate United StatesMike has a love for all things water related. Mike is from Longmont, Colorado but developed his lovefor the ocean when he and his family moved to St. Croix. He holds his RYA 200 ton Captains license.Mike also enjoys golfing and surfing. With his diverse range of skills and experience, we are excitedand proud to have Mike’s energetic and enthusiastic personality as part of the “Carpe Diem” crew.

Linsay Donnelly - Chief Stewardess United StatesLinsay is from the Chesapeake Bay area of Maryland. After gaining a degree in Business & Marketingfrom Mt. Saint Mary’s College, she headed to Annapolis and was introduced to yachting. She has sixyears experience in the industry, primarily as a stewardess but she also spent a year with a leadingbrokerage firm in Fort Lauderdale. In addition to her outstanding service skills and warm personality,she has an excellent rapport with every guest. Having worked on a large variety and size of yachts onboth sides of the Atlantic, she has wealth of knowledge and insight into what it takes to provide animpeccable level of service. You can be sure that Linsay will do whatever it takes to ensure your stayon” Carpe Diem” is an exceptional one.

Ben Donnelly - Chief Engineer United KingdomBen is from London, UK, and has been involved with boats since the age of eight. He spent much ofhis teenage years sailing the south coast of England both recreationally and as an instructor with theRoyal Yachting Association. Following his engineering degree, Ben captained a small sailing yacht ona passage from England to the Mediterranean. He has experience of both motor and sailing yachts upto 170 feet, gaining the 200 ton Masters license and 3000 ton Chief Engineer’s license in the process.When not afloat, Ben is also interested in music production, skiing and has promised to complete hispilot’s license one day.

Jeff Verhalen – Deckhand United StatesJeff was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. He acquired a love for the open ocean when he moved to St.John for three years where he acquired his PADI SCUBA certificate. After returning to the main land,Jeff worked in many fine dinning establishments where he was a top rated bartender/mixologist.Eager to combine his two favorite things, the life of the ocean and traveling, Jeff has found yachting tobe the perfect combination and hasn’t looked back since.

Amy Stampfi – Stewardess United StatesAmy is from a small town on the North Fork of Long Island. She graduated from Auburn University inAlabama with a Cultural Anthropology degree. After graduating, she moved to New York City whereshe worked in fashion and was relocated to China. After returning to the U.S., she decided to followher passion for food and wine. This led her to be a Restaurant Manager for eight years. Amy has beenin the yachting industry for just a few months but has discovered a passion for life on the sea as wellas ensuring our guests have comfortable, pleasant and unforgettable experience.

Captain Glenn Morgan – Captain United StatesCaptain Glenn has been in the sportfish industry for twenty five years. Glenn does not have oneparticular specialty as he is fantastic as every type of fishing. He carries a 100 ton masters USCGCaptains License. His charter and commercial experience include the East Coast of the U.S., theBahamas, Turks and Caicos, Panama and Costa Rica. In his free time, Glenn enjoys spending time withhis 9 year old daughter, Hannah, bike riding, cooking and watching movies.

Tyler Princinsky United StatesTyler has been in the sport fish industry for four years however, he has been fishing his entire life. Hisspecialty is offshore fishing. He has experience in the Florida Keys, Carolina’s, Bahamas, and Mexico.Tyler’s other hobbies include going to the beach, playing drums, and hunting.
