disease(s). The student will email the instructor of the topic which he/she wants to do
research (see page 16 of the syllabus) on by June 11, 2017. The instructor will then

student must have at least 4 references and only 2 references may be from the
internet. When presenting your topic you must discuss the description of the disease,
pathology, signs and symptoms, patient screening, etiology, clinical diagnosis,
treatment, prognosis, and prevention. Do not turn in a presentation from the
internet. Also, a PowerPoint presentation is not a typed report. All presentations
must have two visual aids. Visual may include posters, handouts, etc. Students
can use a PowerPoint to present the information. I do not want students to
read a PowerPoint or their report but to present the information. Once again,
students need to be prepared to present the information in their own words.
The student must present the class with a short quiz to test the student’s knowledge
and listening skills. The quiz needs to have no less than 10 questions. The quiz
needs to be typed and given to all students.

content of typed report, and visual aid. Students should not stand in front of the
class and read their report. Be familiar with subject matter and present
information to your classmates in your own words. Student need to dress
