All statements other than statements of historical fact, including, without limitation, statements regarding potential mineralization, the estimation of mineral resources, the realization of mineralresource estimates, interpretation of prior exploration and potential exploration results, the timing and success of explorationactivities generally, the timing and results of future resource estimates, permitting time lines, metal prices and currency exchangerates, availability of capital to Carlin and its joint venture partner, government regulation of exploration operations, environmentalrisks, reclamation, title, statements with respect to the future price of gold and other metals, and future plans and objectives ofCarlin are forward-looking statements that involve various risks and uncertainties. There can be no assurance that suchstatements will prove to be accurate and actual results and future events could differ materially from those anticipated in suchstatements. Forward-looking statements are based on a number of material factors and assumptions. Important factors that couldcause actual results to differ materially from Carlin’s expectations include actual exploration results, changes in project parametersas plans continue to be refined, results of future resource estimates, future metal prices, availability of capital and financing onacceptable terms to Carlin and its joint venture partner, general economic, market or business conditions, uninsured risks, regulatory changes, defects in title, availability of personnel, materials and equipment on a timely basis, accidents or equipmentbreakdowns, delays in receiving government approvals, unanticipated environmental impacts on operations and costs to remedysame, and other exploration or other risks detailed herein and from time to time in the filings made by the Company with securitiesregulators. Alteration/geochemistry anomaly pattern defined by Barrick (2017 webcast) enhances the northwest extension of the Fourmile structural zone, extending it from where it comes out of post-mineral cover on edge of Cortez Summit property to the range front off north edge of map. Alteration seen with Mill Canyon stock suggests it is younger in age (Eocene?)

Presentation Notes
The alteration/geochemistry anomalous zone (Barrick Feb ‘17) is terminated just west of Cortez Summit at the contact with the post-mineral Miocene basalt/gravel package that underlies most of the property. The alteration/geochemistry zone likely continues to the east under the Miocene rocks, thus further opening up the potential of the property.
