This Trade Adjustment Assistance Community College and Career Training (TAACCCT) grant program provides valuable career training, re-training and skills enhancement needed for job opportunities. This training—for TAA-eligible, laid-off or dislocated workers or workers needing to add to their current skillset—specializes in high-demand career areas expecting a critical shortage of qualified workers. To meet this growing need, the College is providing training in Advanced Manufacturing. Successful candidates will have the benefit of: • Short-term, career-specific courses • Basic skills training • Intensive support from a dedicated career coach • Workshops for all aspects of employability and workplace competencies • Comprehensive support from a dedicated job developer • Job placement assistance ABOUT THE ADVANCED MANUFACTURING TRAINING This training will provide students with the core skills and hands-on training for current advanced manufactur- ing jobs. There are 7 different training modules avail- able, and these modules are designed to give students the training they need quickly and conveniently. Each module can be completed in as little as a week to three weeks. A certificate of completion is available to students after successful completion of each module. Students who complete ALL modules are eligible for the Advanced Manufacturing Integrated Systems Tech- nology (AMIST) Level I certification and a certificate of completion. The AMIST Level 1 training consists of approximately 400 hours of instructor-led and self-directed online learning, as well as hands-on equipment training. Study modules include: • DC-AC Electricity • Electrical Wiring • Hydraulics 1 • Introduction to PLCs-Part 1

ADVANCED MANUFACTURING CAREERS

Advanced Manufacturing coursework will serve as a foundation for students to move along the path to advanced certification in manufacturing, logistics andenergyspecialtyareas.Examplesofthesetypesof occupations are electromechanical and industrial engineering technicians.

Other related occupations include, but are not limited to: •ProductionTechnicians •IndustrialMaintenanceTechnicians •CNCOperators •LogisticsTechnicians

Students who successfully complete all 7 modules of this training will receive a certificate of completion and willbeeligibleforanAMISTLevel1certificate.
