What is a Human Resource?
A human resource is a person or employee who staffs and operates a function within your organization.
Human Resource Management is the function within an organization that focuses on recruitment, management, and the direction of the people in the organization
Human resources is a critical function in most organizations today.
Human resource professionals contribute to utilizing the skills and expertise of employees to an optimum level.

A History /Origin of Term HR
The HR function has continuously evolved since its origins in the early 1900s. Its purpose and role, not surprisingly, have been shaped and refined by the demands and needs of the time. The first personnel departments delivered recruiting, recordkeeping, training, and welfare, and provided union relations.
