Rehabilitative Programs Inpatient Cardiac RehabilitationWhile still in the hospital after a cardiac event (heart attack, angioplasty, bypass surgery), MCH Cardiac Rehab staff will provide education about cardiovascular disease, such as signs and symptoms, do’s and don’ts at home, and medication instruction. Follow-up planning is provided for transition to the Outpatient Cardiac Rehabilitation as early as possible.

Outpatient Cardiac Rehabilitation Typically starting two weeks after an event, this phase emphasizes reducing heart disease risk factors through focused education, counseling and exercise. Experienced cardiac nurses provide heart monitoring and personalized supervision during exercise in the outpatient facility.

Outpatient Pulmonary Rehabilitation A multi-dimensional pulmonary program directed towards patients with pulmonary disease that combines monitored, structured exercise and education. By controlling and reducing symptoms and complications of pulmonary disease, patients will increase their level of independence and physical capabilities.
