Baby Sacque From the book: Knit One - for the Crib Kid, the Carriage Trade and the Highchair Set Compiled by: The Woman’s Auxiliary of St. Paul’s Church, Chest Hill, Pennsylvania. 1953
You’ll probably use this one coming home from the hospital as it is the favorite with all nurses,- easiest to put on and sweet. If you produced an heir, put it away for baby sister after the first few weeks. It is knitted lengthwise and forms a round yoke while knitting. Instead of garter st. a good variation is purling one row every sixth ridge.
